Quote: EvenBobKanye West. If he's so crazy, why
is the Left so upset over what he says.
They obviously put great stock in
his opinion, they're going nuts
over him supporting Trump.
The reality
I don't know a single person, left or right, that listens to this a**hole
Is there a single member here that listens to this guy?
I really doubt it.
If we do get a listen vote, please explain why.
EB and Sancho posts above are so absurd its FAKE NEWS

Kim Kardashian, his wife:
Donald Trump, his crush:
That's kinda funny.Quote: ams288One thing is for certain, Kayne definitely has a type:

Too funny
I think just about everyone views Kanye as Rodney Dangerfield in that he gets no respect
That's probably why Kanye seems so angry all the time. Nobody gives him respect regardless of politics.
Woops, I think Trump respects Kanye. What a moron
Quote: ams288He's always been a pompous d-bag. If his Trump support is what it takes for other liberals to realize that, so be it!
Yea but you loved him when he said GW "Hates Black people". But he did look like a total fool when he upstaged Taylor Swift a few years back.
Does the person that voted listen going to pop in here and tell us why
Or was this an EB or Sancho vote? ROTFL
No way anybody on this forum listens to Kanye regardless of politics
He's a well known douche. Kanye has about as much cred here as ZK :-)
Quote: BozYea but you loved him when he said GW "Hates Black people".
He never said GW (George Washington?) "hates black people."
He did say George W. Bush "doesn't care about black people."
But you'd have no idea how I felt about that as I was not posting here in 2005 when it happened, so don't put words in my mouth.
Quote: TigerWuI feel like the right is flipping out way more over that comedian at the WH Dinner than the left is about Kanye....
Oh, absolutely
Trump insults everybody under the sun and conservatives are ok with it
A comedian at the WHCD lets loose making fun of Sarah Huckabee and some conservatives are outraged.
Please. What a bunch of snow flakes
2 listen votes. EB and Sancho?????? ROTFL

She didn't even "let loose" on her. SHS deserves much worse than the mild roasting she got Saturday night...
The comedian made fun of Chris Christie's weight and Mitch McConnell's neck, but for some reason everyone ignores those and seems upset about the line about SHS's makeup (since when is saying someone has a "perfect smokey eye" an insult?!).
Quote: SteverinosWhen somebody says "Dems are the party of slavery", they can safely be ignored for future opinions on just about everything.
Just like when someone says Dems believe most Americans are too lazy and stupid to ever get anywhere without government help, you know they are to be respected because they are willing to tell the truth.
It’s hard to find a Dem who actually believes hard work pays off and is possible. Much more likely to say “You didn’t build it”.
Quote: Boz“You didn’t build it”.
'There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me – because they want to give something back. They know they didn't – look, if you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. You didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don't do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.'
Those darn Democrats and their crazy ideas about living in a society that helps it's members....
Quote: BozIt’s hard to find a Dem who actually believes hard work pays off and is possible. Much more likely to say “You didn’t build it”.
Absolutely ridiculous.

I do that for people who say the GOP is a racist party.
Difference is the Democrat Party IS the party of slavery and Jim Crow. Liberals like to ignore history they do not like.

Anyone with even a cursory interest in American history knows that used to be true. Maybe liberals should spend more time talking about the history of the Democratic party and its racist roots. Then they could talk about Lee Atwater and the Republican party and the Southern Strategy. Then they can talk about the Democratic party of today.
Regarding the poll, where's the option for liking Kanye's music and rolling your eyes at his politics? Whenever he says something dumb I just think, "We'll always have Graduation."

Oh, but if only history were that simple, right? Geography, not political affiliations, had almost everything to do with slavery and opposition to civil rights. However, things dramatically changed after the Southern Strategy, a calculated decision by the Republican Party to COURT racist voters. If somebody calls the GOP the racist party, it's BECAUSE they made efforts to actually appeal to racist voters. Which leads me to, what I believe is an accurate statement in 2018:
You might not be a racist if you are a republican. But if you are a racist, you are probably a republican.

I lean left
I believe in hard work
Never too a handout in my life
Never ever been on unemployment
Those not born in this country like me work very very hard.
You want to get ahead in life, work hard.
ALL my immigrant family members all bust their butt to get ahead
I don't mind paying higher taxes so society has a safety net for those not as fortunate as me

I say that all the time.
Cause it's true.

With you on all of it until the last line. And my issue there is with the word "fortunate". The reason why you and your family are where they are is because of what you stated before that, hard work and hard decisions. "Fortunate" is winning the Lottery, no different than "lucky" that some use to explain successful people.
I just believe that unless you have mental or physical disabilities, everyone has the same chance to make it in America. Yes some are born to crummy parents, in bad situations but in most cases they get to school and have chances to improve their lives. Our debate becomes what is that safety net, who qualifies for it, and what is the correct amount of taxes we should be paying? And how do we stop wasting money that could be used to actually help those who may need it.
Anyone who disagrees simply doesn't have a soul.

Who made you the arbitrator of who has a soul and what constitutes having one? Nice try at justification of your beliefs.
Didn't the republicans (well, christians, but all republicans claim to be good christians) Christian God make that decree? To always help those less fortunate/well off? To give up all worldly possessions to help others in need? F%&*in LOL @ republicans hypocrisy.Quote: BozWho made you the arbitrator of who has a soul and what constitutes having one? Kanye is a moron, and he's insane. Why anyone cares anything about him in any way, shape, or form is beyond me. Then again I feel the exact same way about anyone who pays attention to the Kardashians too.

Not this Republican, I’m pro choice, I sure as hell don’t want to pay for some kid it’s mother doesn’t even want. Seems like common sense to me.
On the Christian principals you are speaking of, are you trying to say only Republicans go to church and believe these things?

As always, you are welcome. I appreciate the opportunities you provide me to enlighten you on how the world works instead of the Fantasyland you seem to live in. But everyone loves a Disney vacation, unfortunately most of us have to get back to work, checks don’t just show up in the mailbox. Oh wait, never mind.

The path is hard as so few travel it, while the road to Perdition is well tread and smooth.
To paraphrase the Apostle Paul , I pity the man who sells his dreams for a handful of silver.

Lots of people get boosts, Of the Forbes 400 richest. Plenty didn't scratch their way up.
Quote:Those “born on first base” — in upper-class families, with inheritances up to $1 million — make up 22 percent of the 400. On “second base,” households wealthy enough to run a business big enough to generate inheritances over $1 million, the new UFE study found another 11.5 percent.
On “third base,” with inherited wealth over $50 million, sit 7 percent of America’s 400 richest. Last but not least, the “born on home plate” crowd. These high-rollers, 21.25 percent of the total Forbes list, all inherited enough to “earn” their way into top 400 status. The narrative of wealth and achievement that Forbes is pushing ignores the other side of the coin

I was at a show Man he performed at. It was a huge benefit with dozens of acts. I was amazed how well the sound levels were as you had acts ranging from choirs to grunge bands but the vocals were crisp. Man he took the stage and did fifteen minutes of inaudible yelling into the mike. Several other acts rapped, so it wasn't that.
Quote: billryanI'm hoping a friend or two eventually ends up on this list. In fact, I have a bet with one of them that a mutual friend makes it before he does.
Where is EB and Sancho?
They were claiming the left is going nuts over Kanye. ROTFL
Reading this thread, doesn't look like anybody here listens to Kanye

I'd rather donate my money where it's actually going to be used for a good cause than to the government who're going to waste it and let people live off the govt. dime.

Yup, liberals suuuure aren't going nuts over Kanye.
ITT: A liberal started a thread about Kanye. A majority of the posts about Kanye (on here) seem to be from 'the left'.

It is the Democrats who promote racist things like Affirmative Action and quotas. It is the Democrats who divide people by skin color. It is all about race with the Democrats, the GOP rarely mentions race.

Family Guy, Episode 902. Brian (a huge left winger) becomes a right wing conservative. However, throughout the episode, you realize that Brian is just a contrarian. Someone who hangs onto minority opinions to make themselves feel smart and special, same complex that flat earthers and other conspiracy theorists have. Conservatism just happens to be the worldview he is taking so he gets to feel like a martyr.
Kanye is Brian the dog right now.
Perhaps the three of them really do have dragon blood. Aren't dragons just overgrown reptiles?

So it should be easy for you to quote someone from this thread "going nuts" over Kanye, yes?
Kanye is now claiming slavery was a choice.
WTF

Right now I have guess that there only one person left on the planet listening to Kanye. Trump of course. One moron listening to another moron. ROTFL

This why I started the thread
There are some individuals on the left that a lot of people listen to
Kanye West is not one of them
Not even close
It was just so comical that EB and Sancho posted that the left is going nuts over what Kanye says
Its so out there and absurd, Its simply fun to make fun of the views of some conservatives.
Hence, I started the thread.
Kanye West influential????? That's rich. Too funny
