Part of a NY Times editorial.

“Mr. Trump has spent his career in the company of developers and celebrities, and also of grifters, cons, sharks, goons and crooks,” the editorial board wrote. “He cuts corners, he lies, he cheats, he brags about it, and for the most part, he’s gotten away with it, protected by threats of litigation, hush money and his own bravado.”
“Those methods may be proving to have their limits when they are applied from the Oval Office,” it continued. “Though Republican leaders in Congress still keep a cowardly silence, Mr. Trump now has real reason to be afraid.”

The trumps will rue the day they didn't stop Daddy from running for President.

Yet despite the failing NYT, tens of millions support his agenda and a large swath of the media support him unconditionally. There are things that he is doing right, or at least right to the people that voted for him, especially in the swing states. And that's all that matters.

1/3 of the country supports him
He lost the middle which means 1 term
The only media that supports him unconditionally is the media on the right
Get ready for a House blue wave this fall
Got a 100.00 on the Blue wave. Dems take the House. Wellwellwell loses a 100 to me

Terapined has at least put his money where his mouth is. And so have you! I'm hoping you win the bet, www....,

The reason I think it doesn't happen that enough seats change to Dem is these elections the person running sometimes trumps their party affiliation, more so than in a Senate election. I think the incumbent factor is hard to overcome as well. People hate Congress, of course except for their Congressman!

I've been looking for a possible opportunity to get on the "no" for $100 (no, the Republicans will not hold the House). Do you want the "yes"? I think fair odds would be 3:2 on "no" with the incumbency issue, and the number of flips needed to turn the House.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Thanks but no thanks! I assume by 'yes' you mean the House flips to Democrat? I can't bet on that, although it would be a hedge..... I'd be happy with the result but unhappy I lost the bet....

I see Diamond and Silk on the right are becoming huge stars just like David Hogg
I dislike Diamond and Silk but I don't hate them like the right hates David Hogg
I totally support Diamond and Silk's freedom of speech
I would never compare Diamond or Silk to Hitler as RS and EB have.
I would never compare Diamond or Silk to a child molester as Axel has done to David Hogg
Why the hatred toward David Hogg by members on this board here
Really sad

Soopoo,

I clarified with an edit, but I think you saw it before I did that. I'm saying no, the Republicans will not hold the House. They will lose it to the Democrats and those who caucus with Dems.

He got elected. Obama did plenty of things that was not 100% right. Right is a point of view, an opinion, after all.

I know that the left on this forum are very excited at these developments, but the fact is that his evangelical base and his other followers on the right are unmoved.

NYC doesn't matter. Neither does Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle of San Francisco. They are already in blue states with limited electoral votes. What matters far more is Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Charlotte and Miami.

And for the midterms, it is only the congressional districts and senate seats that are tossups or leaning red. There aren't that many of them.

Say what? There are 435 individual elections. One side needs to win 218 of them. It doesn't matter if its by one vote or a landslide. The nationwide popular vote means nothing. Districts range in size. Republicans should win the seats in the sparsely populated areas, Democrats in the larger urban districts.

Idk about EB or anyone else, but why do you think I “hate” D Hogg?

Seems like you support free speech until you disagree with it. Do I not have the free speech rights to make a joke about D Hogg looking like Hitler with his arm up and out? I wasn’t even referencing the whole anti-gun part.

And then listening to his explanation about how he knows there are cameras in rooms is creepy. Bringing it up in a meeting with Comey, "to prove to Melania" it's not true, considering what we NOW know (like we didnt' before, duh) about his infidelities, it's even more creepy and makes me think there's something to it.

"I don't know for a fact that a wee-wee tape exists I just know it's true."

One of my neighbors boyfriends is serving a long sentence
Simple neighborhood dispute
Just a lot of yelling
Till the boyfriend decides to get involved and grabs his gun waving it around as the big man on the block
Stupid
Things get heated due to the gun. it goes off
One dead
sad
To introduce a gun into a neighbor dispute is the height of stupidity
When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums

Well, well well. It appears Mr. Cohen is in a ton of deep doodoo. Interesting enough, Trump's lawyers are in court trying to suppress review of all these documents seized.

Mr. Cohen ( and his dad) don't look like the type that will enjoy ten plus years in Federal lockup. One fat lady coming up.

I like to imagine there's a bunch of Federal prisoners who don't really follow the news and have no idea what's going on, and then one day six months from now like 30 GOP politicians and lawyers and staffers just show up to serve their sentence and all the prisoners are like, "Jesus, what the hell is going out there?"

I don't think Boz is all that crazy.

I assume that was meant to be a dig on Boz.

There is a well defined sub group of gun owners. They are referred to by many names but they own an average of seventeen guns and regularly purchase more. It's an obsession.

They will all end up in rich mans country club jail

Most likely the scenario will be:

Michael Cohen: Hey guys me and trump just arrived

Bernie Madoff: hey join the club we were just about to have a game of chess before golfing

Madoff has been hospitalized at least once from injuries consistent with getting beat. He's not in a Camp Fed, he's in a medium security prison. No golfing.

From a Marketwatch interview:

"Bernie really was a successful businessman with quite original insights into the market, and he's continued applying his business instincts in prison. At one point, he cornered the hot chocolate market. He bought up every package of Swiss Miss from the commissary and sold it for a profit in the prison yard. He monopolized hot chocolate! He made it so that if you wanted any, you had to go through Bernie."
