Do people still pay obscene amounts of money for the power nine? I know you can use them on unrestricted decks but I just can't imagine there's enough clientele to stock these.
People would think I sent them 20 of the item, when I really only sent one. Then I’d send my brother the gold. You can probably still do this, then sell the gold for IRL money. But I also got banned a few times. Yolo
PS: I never really liked WOW. I’d get to level 10 or 15, and it just felt like a total boring grind so I’d quit. Then a few months later I’d try it again, get bored, quit. Rinse wash repeat.

Kinda....for Power 9 if you buy them, youll likely be sitting on them for a while. But time to time youll find a buyer and can make a few $$.
If you were to buy non Power9 MTG, you start following the prices on cards from the Reserve List https://mtg.gamepedia.com/Reserved_List those cards are going up in value pretty quickly

Quote: RSI used to scam people on WOW. My brother would send me a few of some item. He said they were worth 1 gold each (or whatever it costs, idk). Then I’d sell them in bulk, but only through the messaging system or something. I’d send 1 “iron golem ore”, or whatever the dumb item was called. but I’d change the name of the message from “Delivery: Iron Golem Ore (1)” to “Delivery: Iron Golem Ore (20)”.

I’ve logged over 5000 hours in WoW (no that is not a typo) since the game came out in 2004. I haven’t played much the past few years, but I go back for a bit whenever there is an xpac.
I always thought people that stole things in online games were just as scummy as IRL thieves, but I’ll give you a pass this once 😝
That was probably a terrible way to earn gold though, you could play the Auction House like the stock market and make massive amounts of gold if you did it correctly.
I do not recommend trying this except on the half price game day.
Mid-week is often a slow day in any entertainment business where traffic is heavily dependent up being off work and being able to drag the kids along. That is why casinos often have specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and don't much bother with them on the weekends when they know they will be busy.Quote: jetzzfanI've gotten quite good at a couple of the ticket games at Dave & Buster's and on Wednesdays, all games are half price.
Five dollars an hour for tossing a milk jug is not much but it sure beats doing it for free.
The only problem is they serve beer there so I'd be likely to slurp up all my profits.
Quote: billryanThat's great but I've never met anyone who was a roofer as a hobby.
Name's Face. Howdy =)

well we can suspend RS for his past mistakes
anyway I agree AH was the place to go. Back in the early days of BC I made a decent amount of money flipping BOE epics for very healthy margins. At one point I think I pretty much bought out every epic or big gold item and relisted it. The amount of market inefficiency in an online video game were unreal. Too bad the gold's not worth anything IRL, and inflation is a bitch with new expansions coming out.

I can earn a lot of tickets to exchange for the appliances or electronics and sell those online. Not especially profitable (~$5-7 an hour), but I've done it a few times just to prove I could. I stick to Milk Jug Toss and Zombie Snatcher mostly.

I have 2 games that I slaughter. Gone fishing is one. The other I don't know the name of but you shoot colored balls into the cluster and when you match 3 they fall. Goal is to clear the board in as few shots. I watched youtube videos on to beat it.

In the months before inscription was released, I bought every single herb on the auction house that I could. Once that expansion dropped, the price of herbs went up 20x - that was probably my best haul.
I’d also use addons/websites to track item prices, and alert me when something was listed below market value. I made quite a bit flipping mostly transmog items with that method.
I used to buy old records on vinyl from the golden oldies days of music from the local thrift store for maybe a dollar to sell it to the local record shop for a profit. He saw my game a mile away and said something like,"I see you buying old vinyl records for cheap from thrift stores and then you come to my record store to sell them for me to for a profit. I'm onto your game!" I ran for the hills in caught shame! And being stuck with old vinyl records I never wanted in the first place. LMAO! :D :/
Quote: NathanA word of advice. If you buy something cheap to make a profit on it, please make sure your potential buyer doesn't know exactly where you got this cheap item you are trying to sell to them for a higher profit. LMAO! I tried this and got busted and called out for this game.

WTF would the record store care. Just because I got something worth $20 for $5 from some unknown source I'm not gonna sell it for less then I bought it, I'm selling it at the market price.

I guess it's the fact he knew I was trying to hustle him and let me know he was onto my attempted hustle. On a side note, that record store has long been out of business for like a decade now.
