The drug-induced gambling classic, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, has topped a list compiled by Casino Online of the Top 50 Gambling Books of All Time. ... Outrageous and eccentric, Thompson's account of Sin City is by far the best gambling related book published to date."
Other books to make it into the top ten include Michael Shackleford's Gambling 102, a casino strategy guide, and Ben Mezrich's Bringing Down the House, which was adapted into the film, 21. Renowned writer, Mezrich, who is also the author of The Accidental Billionaires (now the motion picture The Social Network), commented that "It's an honor to be on the list, I've always said I'm Hunter S Thompson without the drugs and guns, so my book being ranked only 6 spots below his masterpiece is a great thrill!"

AP - It's not that it can't be done, but rather people don't really have a clue as to the level of fanaticism and outright obsession that it takes to be successful, let alone get to the level where you can take money out of the casinos on a regular basis. Out of 1,000 people that earnestly try, maybe only one will make it.

Theres a book written in 1910 called 'Monte Carlo Anecdotes' that is all about roulette. Its lists a dozen systems and strategies and it could have been written yesterday. Nothing has changed since 1910. You can read it online, its very entertaining.
"It's not called gambling if the math is on your side."
