Say it isn't so. I just caught the tail end of a news report saying she is coming down, no word on if she will go back up or not.
Most people call her Vegas Vicky or is it Vickie? who cares, she is and always will be Sassy Sally to me. I will never understand why they keep taking all the Iconic stuff away from Vegas.

She's being taken down because of the Vegas Club construction. She'll be restored and moved to a different location.

I believe the owners of "The D" own that entire block now. Everything on that block, including the strip club is shut down.

That's right. The Vegas Club, Mermaids and Glitter Gulch were all shuttered two years ago. There was a recent thread about a vendor setting up 16 slot machines for 8 hours in each of the two casinos to keep the gaming license alive.
Glitter Gulch used to be a casino... way back in the day. In fact, "Glitter Gulch" was a nickname for the area now known as "The Fremont Street Experience".
