So, what are good promotions that your casino offers/offered? ;)
Online Casino Promotions
The NFL challenges that most all casinos have now are good too. You pick your winners every week. Top winners win cash prizes. These are great promotions to get people on property.

As I recall Emerald Island is a casino/restaurant joint near the center of Hendertucky. IF you play slots and are already inclined to go to Hendertucky this sounds like a good casino to patronize. At least the minimum on the wheel spin is ten dollars... I recall one woman who spun one of those wheels and got one lousy freakin' dollar in a casino she never again returned to.Quote: billryanEmerald Island on Tuesdays gives $20 cash back for $1400 coin in. Thursday, get a wheel spin for $10-100 with $1500 coin in, plus a bonus gift. Just sold last weeks gift for $17 on ebay.
Note: Hendertucky is a local's derisive term for those who live in Henderson, particularly the very small homes and trailer park areas. However a casino that is in an area of hard working blue colar types is very likely to have good deals to attract and retain locals.
Only online (here I believe) have I ever heard anyone ever refer to it as that.Quote: FleaStiff

Speaking of great promotions, here's a full list of some really good promotions I'm playing right now:
But seriously, I think The M has some deal where if you do like $1k or $1.5k coin in you get a free buffet, or 2 hours rated on tables.
By the way, I recently did a guided tour of historic Henderson and was surprised to learn all those mobile home looking houses were built as temporary housing for workers during WW2 and had an expected useful expectancy of about twenty years. That was sixty years ago.
The three casinos on Water St. cater to a local, older crowd. They take good care of them.

When I moved here in 1997, Henderson was nicknamed “Hendertucky”. Â I honestly don't know why but maybe
This is just to prove that I didn't make it up.
Nor did I make up "Tray Lizard" for "Cocktail Waitress" even though I will admit Paco was unable to find any references to Tray Lizard use amongst craps players.
Another example of this would be the areas of PA known as Pennsyltucky, which, to the best of my knowledge, can be slapped on most areas in rural PA.
Quote: Mission146Such is the reputation of Kentucky that the, "Tucky," suffix gets thrown on anything considered, "White Trash."

Occasional promotion. For $250 coin-in (slots) or $500 coin-in (VP) to qualify for whole day, possible to win many prizes, EV $100+.
Prizes are $50 or less, so unlikely (<1.5%) to win nothing (not weighted on big prizes). It's a 22-45% edge.
IMO people will keep the best promotions quiet...
Quote: houyiWhile no one is actually likely to reveal their best plays on public forum, what might be interesting is if people were willing to divulge dead promos they played that happened in relatively recent times, e.g. the Mohegan Sun Triple Down BJ Promo that happened like 6-7 years back. This was, unfortunately, just before my time, lol. But such examples might give hope that the "good promos" are not a thing of the past. Gets boring hearing about 2 for 1 senior buffet promos ad nauseum :-P.
Perhaps. But then again, APs are essentially competing with each other. I got no problem with sharing information in the proper setting, but doing so in public (IMO and I think most others) is more harmful to APs as a whole and individually.
Sharing stories is fun and all, but even things that happened in the past can and do have relevance to current or future plays. Even stupid things casinos did back in the day where one might think "oh casinos don't have coin droppers anymore (for the most part), that promotion is never gonna be run again!" or something of that nature.....another promotion can come up that's similar enough to "whatever" that previous promotion was.....and then other APs or perhaps the casino starts doing some extra thinking and they're like "this is basically the same thing / very similar to what casino X ran years ago...."

You can take mission out of West Virginia, but you can't take the west Virginia out of mission! Lol. How many times have you been "extreme Barbie Jeep racing."

You're welcome.

Actually, I've got a at least a few drops of hillbilly in my blood. I would be remiss not to admit I LOVE a good demolition derby as much as anyone. Tractor pulls are not my thing at all, though, just the demo derbies.
Another local casino gave $50 to all new members. I got around $35 in cash.
These were good promotions. :)
