Because I was pretending to be a guy. I used to pretend to be the guy at times when I was playing pretend as a younger person. It just came natural to pretend to be a guy online too.

Remember I was pretending to be a guy. So a guy would be naturally weirded out if the "girl" he was chatting with turned out to be a guy. So I posted like a guy.

This forum allows people to post anonymously and be whomever they want to be. There is nothing in the rules to even suggest representing yourself as one sex while born another would be grounds for banning.
You chose to present yourself as male, not just implied by your name, but explicitly stated. Doesn't matter why. You also chose to meet WoN in person. Bizarrely, you didn't pm him to tell him who to look for, knowing you had a male persona here. Why would he approach any woman? Was it supposed to be a cute surprise? Whatever. (There are lots of things women do I just can't fathom, and I am one.) If it were me meeting you, I'd have passed by any woman too.

I'd support a compromise. You offered it hoping "Nathan" wouldn't show up, and somehow he'd be gone, but Nathan really isn't Nathan. I'm still not sure what is going on, a girl pretending to be a boy, or boy pretending to be a girl pretending to be a boy. $0 and $100 dont seem fair, I'd say fair is about $33-50. He's kind of trolling pretending to be, implying to be something he or she isn't, but not completely trolling. It could even be some kind of Andy Kauffman/Tony Clifton thing, where even multiple people are pretending to be Nathan. But does loss of Your Word now mean others are released from the same responsibility? Seems to me that WoN made a promise, IMO for the reason of confirming the identity of member Nathan. WoN got exactly what he wanted and completed exactly what (I believe) his intentions were. Since there were no stipulations, why should he be released?

Just the fact that you were being deceptive on THIS forum. I'm sure there are forums dedicated to pretending to be something you are not.
The point of the meet up was to confirm you were who you said you were. You were not who you said you were.
There was no real reason to say you were a male. IMO You should have at disclosed in private to WON before the meet up that you had told a fib. Given him the opportunity to cancel meeting up if he chose to. I think had you at least done that he would have thanked you for being honest and he would have felt more comfortable approaching you.
I can see why he would be hesitant to approach you knowing you lied about who you were.

Perhaps if you kept it on the just the forum. But once you bang it into the RW it was a more serious issue, especially on this forum. You took it to far. You have been around here long enough to know some of the members on this site take things a bit more serious when it comes to this kind of stuff, making stuff up and telling lies. You had already been suspended for spreading misinformation. You might call it pretending, but some people are calling it more than just pretending. People dont like being "catfished". There might not be any specific rules against this stuff, but I think you just lost a few followers and opened yourself up to even more sh*t.
