I wasn't elected president, and the man who was has campaigned on a platform that is diametrically opposed to "working together as a society." I cannot recall any recent national figure stoking racial tensions the way Trump has over the past 18 months. There are reports all across the country of inflamed tensions between Trump supporters and detractors. He has blown on the smoldering ember of vague resentment, allowed it to flare up, and directed it inward. Even with Pepe the frog. If you never heard of that kind of stuff, or 4chan before the last year or two, you don't understand it. Some of those people really hate Jews. Most of them just like saying stuff they are not supposed to say and irritating people.
My transition's been the other way. I've slowly come to understand that a lot of people really are very literal minded and take things like words on a screen very seriously.

Now that you mention it, no, but if I did I'd probably only allow guns legally for the old, feeble, handicapped and probably most women. Young and middle-aged men have proven way too stupid to own them.
