At the borgata, there's middle Eastern man and his son camping out at the 10 ultimate X machines that are close to one another.
At Bally's/Caesars, there's a semi-bald man making a loop between the 2 casinos all day vulturing.
I saw him a few times vulturing at Caesars while I was playing VP.
Then I saw him again a few hrs later when I was going to Bally's diamond lounge for dinner.
(I already used up my 1 entry/day at Caesars for lunch.)
Then I saw him again when I went back to Caesars.
I'm thinking they can make more per hr by working minimal wage at mcdonalds?
But again that is an incredibly busy casino with a lot of play
I can't think of a worse or more demeaning way to make a living--or in this guy's case, to fail to make a living.
Quote: WizardofnothingI think they make way more vulturing and no taxes- especially on weekend- there is a Mexican guy at parx casino that I have spoke. To many times and seen first hand he easily clears 150 a day and that's a slow day
But again that is an incredibly busy casino with a lot of play
surprised he doesn't have more competition.
I counted at least 6 different vultures at caesars ac in a 4hr span while I was playing vp.
also, lately, theres been a lot of new vultures of middle eastern descent both in AC and in md.
like they all read the same forum
Quote: onenickelmiracleYou've said you drive two hours out of your way just to check UX machines, but these guys would be better off working at McDonald's.
yeah, 1hr each way but:
1) I usually was also going to pick up $25 promo chips
2) and that was when I avg $100 coin-in worth of multiplier screens.
(tho some might be a single 2x on a 10play.)
not anymore.
lately, competition has increased and sometimes I find 0 multipliers. :(
and $25 promo chips isn't worth the drive.
now I go when im actually going to gamble for a few hrs.
I had already mentioned he doesn't know what he is doing there is no reason to keep reading checking machines that haven't been played since he last checked that's retarded, so I would have to assume he is as well.Quote: JoeshlabotnikI posted a thread about an experience I had playing next to a low-rent vulture who, I learned from the replies, oscillates between Sam's Town and the Eastside Cannery. He methodically checks every single machine, every time, apparently. (The thread is called "Witnessing a vulturegasm.") I don't know how much money that guy makes, but given his near-orgasmic enthusiasm when he found a play that was worth something like $1.25, and that he was dressed like the lower echelon of the local homeless (and smelled worse), I doubt he was making very much per day.

It's better than some other alternatives.
A few very successful gamblers got their start credit hustling in the 90's.
