One Week

Well I’m down to the last week of work before my Las Vegas trip. This last week I've got mundane details to sort out before I get to Las Vegas. I have to dig out the suitcases from the storage area. Get things together for my mother who comes by to watch over the house, the dogs, and makes sure the kids don’t have a wild party while we’re away.
We’re not planning on doing much shopping while we’re in Las Vegas. The Canadian dollar is doing better against the US than it was mid-January at $1 US = $1.34 Canadian, but that’s still expensive. I’ll hold off until next Friday before I buy my US dollars. Hopefully another cent or two gets shaved off by then.
If we’re not bringing much back maybe my wife and I could use our carry-on luggage instead of checking a bag. It would save us the $25 fee. Although my son tried that at Christmas when he flew home from university and they didn’t have enough room on the plane so they pulled passengers aside and forced them to check their bag. I don’t get it. They want to charge me a fee to check a bag and then they don’t have enough space for me to stow my bag in the cabin.
The long range forecast shows that it's going to cool off a bit when we're there -- 24C (75F) instead of the 27C (80F) they are experiencing now. We'll still get by the pool on one of the days with those temps.
I told my wife that last night I dreamt we were finally in Las Vegas and I was coming up to a craps table at the Wynn. I bought in all excited that I’m finally able to play craps. The dice passed to me for my first roll and then I woke up.

Locked Up or working overtime to pay for the trip?

Maybe still stuck at the tables chasing loses, and slowly making progress? Job gone, wife left couple weeks ago? The trip report is coming. I've got a little editing to do yet and I'll upload a few pictures too. Hopefully tonight or Saturday at the latest.
