I really doubt if that is the case. Often articles like this do not reflect net loss. In the last few years there was an article of a woman in California that lost 100 million at slots. It turned of that was her coin in not her actual loss which was a few million.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I listened to the GWAE (not you, GWAE WOV member) podcast episode thing with Jon Donson. He wasn't all too specific about his net wins/losses or whatever....but the way the interview went on, it seemed like he did not win $15 Million (net) out of AC....instead, it looks like he won about $5 Million in a single trip, on 3 separate occasions.
Granted, he may have won a NET of $15M over the (three?) months he played in AC....but it appears like they came up with the $15M using a different method ($5M on 3 individual sessions....not $15M net).
Although, even if this information is gathered in the same way DRich is saying the CA woman's "losses" were reported.......$1.5 BILLION coin in is......that's quite a bit....

He lost his lawsuit against Crown to recover $20.5 actual out of pocket gambling losses due to his claimed pathological gambling addiction, so it seems he didn't win over the 14 month period of gambling frenzy when he bet through $1.5B.

The story keeps changing.
One of the owners at the Crown bet ridiculously large amounts at Bac (yes, it's alway the Bac guys) to influence the other players (ploppies) to 'join in' cause he looked like he was winning big?
Was that what I read?
