In fact, many Gamblers have already started boycotting Casinos in recent months according to a Gambling website. On my recent Casino trips, there aren't many happy faces. More and more Gamblers have frowns and scowls on their faces, or have neutral, blank expressions whereas just a few years ago, many more Gamblers were smiling happily. The downfall of casinos is imminent if they don't loosen up more slots.
Don't play slots.
Craps still has the same payouts as always, the odds are much better, and you get to interact with real people.
Lol I wish
Quote: beachbumbabsWhat "a gambling website" are you citing for this "fact"? Enquiring minds want to know.
The imagination runs wild. Lets see if
posts the link..
Dear Kentry, most casino patrons are addicts sir there is no end to the abuse they are willing to take.

Well, craps is getting "tighter" in that, if I read the reports here correctly, Vegas casinos are starting to cut back on how much you can bet on odds. It's "tighter" in that, in order to be able to bet the same amount as before, you now have to expose more money to the Pass or Don't Pass bets.

Gamblers who place more emphasis on thinking they will win than entertainment are mostly deluded. I can remember when the only exotic bet at the horse race track was the Daily Double. It was only offered on the first race as an incentive to get you to the track early. Back then players complained about the 15% rake. Always heard " Why not reduce it to 10%, the tracks and players would benefit ? " Then along came quinellas, exactas, trifecta's pick 5's, etc. Take is 23 to 30%. And at horses races 2 to 3 times as much is bet versus Win, Place show wagers. At dog races 10 to 20 times as much.
The crap bettors will still bet as much overall. As for a boycott, how is that 6/5 BJ boycott working ? More or less tables at 6/5 than 11 years ago ? Did you think Bellagio and Venetian would have $25 6/5 BJ ? Seriously, most gamblers are CHUMPS !
If you do not have 6/5 BJ in your local casino, just be patient. LOL
That Web site doesn't seem to have any idea what it's talking about:Quote: KentryIn fact, many Gamblers have already started boycotting Casinos in recent months according to a Gambling website.
"A total of 39,727,022 people came to Las Vegas in 2012, representing an increase of 2.1 percent over the number of visitors in 2011." hotelsblog.com
Quote: KentryOkay, okay, maybe using the term "Gambling Website,"was a smidge much. Just a speck much. It was more of a place where Gamblers come to chat. :) ;)
Never underestimate the power of over exaggeration.
Quote: KentryIt's not really an overexaggeration. It was a Gambling Forum. :)
The reference to over-exaggeration was to the title of the thread and your first post, both of which are. We (this forum) generally prefer some basis in facts or attribution to a source when you make a blanket statement as opposed to when you're stating an opinion. Perhaps that other, still-unnamed forum likes to just make stuff up and run with it.

Babs is picking up what I'm throwing down.
Quote: KentryTo the people asking what this "Gambling Website" that I claimed to have gotten the theory that Gamblers will start boycotting Casinos, is SlotFanatics.com. :)
don't see that in here

can't you narrow that down to where the discussion is?
Here is a prime example. On page 2, one of the posters pointed how the Casino is losing money due to being so damn tight.

Why not post a link that takes you directly to at least page 2 if not directly to what you want? [sometimes the latter not possible I guess]
Nonetheless, on page 2 I still didn't find exactly what you evidently wanted me to. I admit to a lot of skimming.
At this point I will just say I think you've failed to back up any claim a boycott is being urged. I've been pretty hard on you, so I'll drop it if you want to.

In Central City in a 10 year period 32 of 39 casinos closed. Players don't boycott casinos, they whine, complain, and show up on a regular basis. Nobody boycotted AC when it was the only game in town.
Quote: DrawingDeadI am sure the people of "Slotfanatics" will now take up stamp collecting or become chess players instead. Because now, they lose their money playing slot machines. Whereas before now, they... uh, nevermind.
Lol. :D
