The effects of B9 and what he left behind

When I joined this forum, I joined in hopes of becoming a better gambler and how to get more out of my Vegas adventures. I saw that many people were giving insight into how to better their gambling expeirience, teach the rules of gaming, how best to play at the differant games offered in the casino, share their trip reports, and teach others the odds and probabilities in differant bets. The forum had alot of focus on B9 (his monkey) and giving input on others trip reports as they occured. Then their was the buy out.

B9 turned out to be a fraud. Trip reports died off due to personal security threats, doubt of new members became the norm, and the buy out changed nothing except for moving some adds around. But the back of this forum was broken when B9 and his monkey were nuked for their betrayl of being truthful here. With each other.

As new members arrive, their statements are met with doubt and fear that they want to pull the wool over our eyes. Pull the wool over my eyes and give me a good story. It entertains me. I will not make a bet with anyone on this board unless we meet, face to face. I will not make a trip just to bet with someone.

But if you come on here as an obvious sock puppet, you should only here crickets. Kentry came on here with a story that may or may not be true. It hit all of us in differant ways and most of us suggested, GET HELP. We all wanted for someone to be a better person after we all fell for B9. We all hated being betrayed after giving (lowering our defenses) our ear to a good story.

Since B9, this forum has really changed in a bad way. I think it is time to let go of the sock monkeys and remember, gaming is fun.......

FWIW, B9 is generally considered to be nuked member Beethoven9th. The guy you're referring to, also nuked, is B79 or Bacc79. I know you know who you're talking about, but some newer members might not, and some older members still reference both.

Too funny, whenever I hear the word 'monkey', it will forever evoke memories of the proposed 'monkey' bet that was being tossed around. I laugh every time thinking of that whole fiasco. Probably not as fond memories for AoS, which I totally understand. But on the outside looking in at that mess at just face value, it was good entertainment.

My apologies at using the wrong shortened name. I did mean Bacc79 and his monkey. Kentry is taking heat as to whether he is real or not. I have known a person in the real world that is exactly, to a tee, like Kentry. His name is Jentry. Weird coincidence I don't know but I deal with alot of people, the same people, everyday. I get to see personalities that you could never imagine dealing with. Maybe we all do.... I am willing to give him a chance. He entertains me as many others on this site do. If any member is a sock puppet, they will eventualy reveal themselves. I do not ever approach anyone I first meet as them a liar until I catch them in a blatant, provable lie. Or they have a stuffed monkey with them. Just my thoughts on the issue at hand.

That was a sad/ugly time and I feel we all got to witness the behavior of a stalker, most ugly for AoS. Glad to have you back AoS. May you enjoy good variance.

He's probably hiding in your safe.

Not at all. Just hopping that the waters will remain calm and that he will find others to pester or will deal with himself in on fashion or another. Your trip reports remind me of why I enjoy gaming.
