It's a five dollar bet and currently is 1.7 million
Can a joker be used? Ace high or low of course? What are the other payouts that the $5 bet is eligible for?
Quote: Dieter7 card straight flush is what, 800000:1, and this payout is 340000:1... so maybe I'm just too dumb to see it.
I would hope you don't always lose on hands worse than the 7 card straight flush.
Quote: WizardofnothingNo the other payouts start at. Full house Five aces and royal have separate progressives which are included as part of the 5 dollar wager-
Hi, everyone. There are three progressives called Mega, Major and Minor. Here are the payouts.
Mega - 7 card straight flush - 100% of jackpot. Currently $1.7 million.
Major - 5 aces - 100% of jackpot. Currently $35,000.
Minor - Royal flush - 100% of jackpot. Currently $4,000.
Straight flush. - $500.
Four of a kind - $375.
Full house - $20.
Quote: WizardofnothingUnless I'm wrong this is version two on the wizard of odds pay table and the wizard lists it at positive ev at 250k for 1 dollar which would equate to roughly 1.25 mill for 5. Making this a pretty large overlay- but what do I knowb
For this kind of large progressive I would say you have to include the tax as a factor when figuring out the EV. I pay over 40% in fed and state, so 1.7 million is 'only' 1 million for me, so it is still negative EV at that value.
Quote: WizardofnothingThen most slot progressives on must hits would be negative ev even a must hit that was at 9999 must bit but 10k would be negative- you can go off that theory
A must hit could certainly have negative EV, they do most of the time. Why WOULDN'T? you factor taxes in? What is the difference between winning $2 million and paying 50% tax vs winning $1 million tax free?
