I don't eat at the casino.
the only time I use food comps is if i'm w/friends and that's maybe a handful of times a year.
most of the food comps were earned over the past 2yrs playing poker at $1.50/hr.
food comps don't expire if my card is inserted into any machine at least once every 60days.
I play poker at least twice a month.
should I convert the food comps to free slot play? ($2 food comp = $1 slot play)
Quote: 100xOddsI have $400 worth of food comps.

I turn most mine into free play. But here it's $3/$1. I do save some comp $$$ for food though.
Only you know the right answer. The best way to answer that is... would you buy $400 in comps for approximately $200? If not, you should convert them, if yes, you should save them. If it were me. I would convert some and save what I thought I would use. You wont feel bad either way.Quote: 100xOddsI have $400 worth of food comps.

Other than that, I would cash in any excess, simply because comps are not guaranteed. The rules and regulations regarding comps can be changed at a moments notice and even comps pulled, especially if you fall out of favor for whatever reason. I know a number of players that this has happened to.
Quote: Deck007Surely you must mean try and sell them as Comps cannot be cashed.
Depends on what place. I play a number of places that can, some only at certain times, some at reduced face value like the OP stated.

Most places you cannot even sell the Comp as they will have your name on it. It defeat the idea of Comps. Hotel rooms for example cost the casino nothing as otherwise the room would remain empty.
