somewhere.
Quote: mcallister3200Of course, 25 seconds in, "and cheats." First five minutes before I turned it off for the second time all they had talked about was cheating.
FWIW, the security chief that talks about counting, (AP named Josh Axelrad is the focus of that section), says counting isn't illegal. They don't LIKE it, but it's legal, so bring it on. Think it was the Aria guy.
The other stuff they reviewed were light wands on coin droppers, light wand on bill acceptors, following an ATM thief, dice team that used switched dice and a magnet under the table, collusion on pinching/capping bets in BJ with a floor, roulette predictor that calculated segments/numbers just in advance of the hit.
Both featured security chiefs (the other from Borgata) comment at the end that they want AP's to come in, otherwise they wouldn't have jobs. Kind of smug approach, but if they feel that way, what's with the trespassing? (kidding, kind of)

At the end of the card counting segment featuring Josh, Security Consultant, Jim Hartley makes a couple of unusual statement. He mentions the cat & mouse game with card counters and at one point he is almost praising Josh and his team, saying "they are aggressive. If they find an edge they are going after it. And that's the way it should be". A minute later he states " They are coming at you in a completely legal fashion. They are not doing anything wrong". I applaud Mr. Hartley and those comments and differentiating between card counters and cheats.
BUT, not two minutes later, the narrator/announcers makes the following comment: "With cheaters, card counters and con men stealing millions a year from casions........" That's weak! You just said card counters are doing nothing wrong, operating in a completely legal fashion, and then lump us with cheaters saying we are stealing. Lame!

After reading your post above this one, I've seen it before. The aria guy is Ted Whiting.

Agreed. The discussion with Hartley I thought was worth hearing. Also the comments at the end by both about counters and cheats (mutually exclusive). :) I think it's the producer's error/prejudice overriding what was actually said by casinos and security.
Quote: IbeatyouracesSomewhere on there, Ted Whiting says, "We don't care if you win, We just want to know how your winning." He is so full of$h!t!! I can guarantee you, MGM Resorts care very, very much if you're winning!
If they didn't care that you win, they wouldn't offer 6:5 Blackjack

These things are all the same. They have
to be puff pieces or the casinos would
never let them film inside. You thought
they would show them backing somebody
off? Dream on.
