After hours and hours of searching online for some information that I was sure I could find, I could not. Looks like you've just sold another copy! I should have just bought it when you released it as I knew then I would eventually buy it anyways =P. I don't care if the thread is half a year old, I still want to say thanks again for making such a comprehensive book.

Just so you know, most of what is in my book is also on my website. I've added a lot of material on 3CP and UTH since writing the book as well as a substantial update on card counting baccarat. That said, the book puts it all in one easy to access organized document, and I think it serves a good purpose as a reference book, so thanks for buying it.

It is amazing to me, looking back, just how obsessed I was over nearly a three year period. I put up over 300 posts on my website. I've moved on, honestly. I am not at all motivated to beat another game (not saying I won't figure it out if it is obviously important). Aside for a few big projects here and there, I'm back in college taking courses in an area that is about as far removed from casino mathematics as can be imagined: Theatre Arts.

Just wait -- the spring musical will be Guys and Dolls.

I am ashamed to say I still haven't bought that book. I've read all of Elliot's work online and still do plan to buy the book. It seems like an essential book to have in ones gaming library.

Hopefully someone will sell a used one cheap shortly (sorry Elliot, I am cheap).

That's what my undergrad degree is in! I hope you really enjoy yourself there. Not terribly lucrative, but an awful lot of fun, especially the technical side.

Awesome. It's amazing to me how many people have a theatre background.

So far, so fun. I am taking "Intermediate Acting B" and a course in improvisation. I took a course over the summer on auditioning. Next semester, I hope to take 3 courses -- hoping that three good courses are on a M/W schedule. I don't have any acting goals, not even to perform. I'm just having fun learning. I have been performing for decades as a musician, and a bit in the circus arts as well. I've done a tiny bit of theatrical performance before. So this doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. Total fun.

Ya know, if you hadn't switched sides and taken up with the enemy, this could have fit right in, because acting ability and a good act are half the battle. :)

I tried hard to act at the tables. Turns out I was a particularly bad actor. You should have seen me at the E.C. back in 2002, wearing a dirty / stained t-shirt, intentionally not moving my eyes very fast, practically drooling and with 3 days beard. Didn't help. Maybe E.C. wasn't the right testing ground for my acting skills.

I don't know....sounds like typical EC crowd. :/

Actually, the act and all that are not my strong points either. I really think the days of 'tricking' pit/surveillance are gone. That's a yesterday's thing for the most part. I mean things like playing the part of a Russian arms dealer....lol That's tales of yesteryear.

Maybe it's because I don't play at higher levels, but at my level it is all about, trying to play unnoticed, but even more than that, playing within certain well tolerated levels and not making waves and drawing attention.

Besides, I have enough problems without trying to remember what 'role' I am supposed to be playing. lol.

Oh I've scoured your site, and in fact thought I could find the info I needed on your site but didn't =P. I just really have a deep appreciation for the amount of time/effort/work you've put in to different games/etc over the years. Not only for having such passion about the games, but for then being willing to share it with the rest of us (and unfortunately 'the man') =).
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I purchased the book a few weeks ago.

The book is fantastic. It's worth much more than the price paid. Well done teliot.

I agree 100%. Even if you don't play these games if you want to be an advantage player you need to study and understand the concepts.
