I like to gamble in Las Vegas at the higher-end casinos, and I'm a member of several awards programs with them.
I come away with money most of the time.
I play basic strategy on a double deck, and I decide what I'm doing based on my cards and the dealer's face card. I would say I don't count cards, but I would notice if everything on the table were face-cards or 2s and 3s.
If I'm winning on a streak, I raise my bets. If I'm losing, I lower my bets.
With the above being my basic strategy:
I save my winnings until a certain amount, let's say $2K, and bet it all on the first hand after a shuffle. If I win, I let it ride. If I have two wins in a row, I'm at +$8K. If I lose, I'm at break-even and start over again.
Is this a flag due to the amount? If I am dealing with those numbers, should I be in the "high-end" room to make the casino less agitated? I like playing cards and winning, but I don't want to risk being pushed back or asked to leave, especially if I'm an invited guest to their hotel.
I have good relations with the dealers and the pit-staff, but I'm also aware I just cost them $8K.
Your thoughts are welcome.

No betting system will overcome the house edge and they will never ask you to leave. If you're winning you've been lucky but if you keep doing that the math says you will eventually lose. Use that $8k to buy plenty of Maalox and keep it nearby.

There is no way you'd be flagged as a counter if you bet big on the first hand after the shuffle, since there would be no count at that point. You might be seen as shuffle tracking, but I don't know enough about that to be sure. You're probably just seen as a big bettor, which they get all the time. If anything, they just care about how long you are at the table, not your betting patterns.

Why do you think the casino would be agitated? Heck, I'm sure they wish you would keep doing this everytime.

Seems pretty clear that you don't really know what "basic strategy" is.

Unless you're shuffle tracking or doing something fancy w/ the cut card to guarantee yourself a winning hand the first hand or 3, your strategy is NOT a long term winner.
Casinos only back people off if they think that player is playing with a theoretical advantage. Getting lucky on a big bet isn't their concern.
