It's one thing to position your business as a low-cost low frills operation.
Yeah, you'll get a low rating like that.
So what's the excuse for Flamingo ?

Probably that it is 40 years older than all of its neighbors. I like to stay at Flamingo for the value but there is little to keep me on the property. "Bugsy's Bar?" That alone could be so much more. it is not that any of it is "bad" but neither is it "great."

Everybody bangs on the Circus but you know what? The casino tower has GREAT rooms. They have the funnest (sic) slots in town-the 97.4% coin Magnificent Seven dollar slots that are often packed even on weeknights. A sports book right next to those slots and next to the entrance which is right on the Strip and gives easy access both to downtown and the center strip. The steakhouse is great old school dark and dollar for dollar the best in town. The kids don't bother me, I consider it part of the entertainment to see them loitering around wide awake after midnight.
To me I would avoid these mega-monstrosities like Excalibur, MGM, Wynncore, Luxor and Venetian/Palazzo. Put me downtown or the Circus.
The Circus is underrated. MGM runs it tight now, and they comp well. Their table games need an update though.Quote: bobsimsEverybody bangs on the Circus but you know what? They just did some reno to that bar. Nothing eye-shattering from what I could tell, but they have Happy Camper IPA on tap now, which surprised me.
