Anyone recommend a (free) app that adjusts strategy depending on the paytable?

I thought about this because I was playing deuces wild with freeplay and got dealt an interesting hand.

got dealt 3 deuces and a pair.
keep 5 of a kind or go for quad deuces? (I guessed correctly about going for it. dropped the pair and got a straight flush.)

I thought an app telling me what the correct strategy is would have helped me immensely.

so links?

thx but I play in a state other than NV. And want to use this to vulture X.
payouts change depending on denom (.05, .10, .25, .50, $1) on the same machine.

I don't want to carry 5 strategy tables x # of games (deuces wild, JoB, BP, DB, DDB, Deluxe Bonus, etc).
that's at least 30 strategy charts. :o

Thus why I rather have an app for a quick lookup

Honestly... just learn one bad pay deuces wild strategy and the standard JOB add in a few tweaks for the 1 on 2 pair games, Like inside straights and Ace plays.

The time you'll be wasting looking up hands missing other multipliers isn't worth it. Youre giving up very little. You could just take snap shots of different condensed strategies and add them to a folder.

holding a pair of jacks and other hands is a no brainer. So condensed strategies will be sufficient.

and a Surface Pro 3 - 256GB / Intel i7. I cant imagine that will stay intact for long in my hands @$1500 not sure I can justify it since I already have 4 tablets and enough laptops.

Don't rush me; I'm still working on it...

But AxelWolf is right; you can't use it on the casino floor in Nevada. It's not just a "take you to the back room, make you sweat for a while, then let you go with a ban" offense, either; it's a felony with a fine of up to $10,000 (and possibly 1-6 years in prison as well) for the first offense, and 1-6 years in prison (with no probation or suspended sentence allowed) for the second.

woah.. why cant u use your smartphone but yet can use a piece of paper to help with VP?

Pretty much for the same reason you can't use your smartphone but can use "a piece of paper" at the blackjack tables - it's considered too much of an advantage. True, you can carry around a rather large piece of paper, or a booklet, with all 134,459 "unique" VP hands and what to do, but that's going to slow your play down a little...

Here are the specifics of the law:
Quote: Nevada Revised Statues 465.075

Use or possession of device, software or hardware to obtain advantage at playing game prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person to use, possess with the intent to use or assist another person in using or possessing with the intent to use any computerized, electronic, electrical or mechanical device, or any software or hardware, or any combination thereof, which is designed, constructed, altered or programmed to obtain an advantage at playing any game in a licensed gaming establishment or any game that is offered by a licensee or affiliate, including, without limitation, a device that:

1.  Projects the outcome of the game;

2.  Keeps track of cards played or cards prepared for play in the game;

3.  Analyzes the probability of the occurrence of an event relating to the game; or

4.  Analyzes the strategy for playing or betting to be used in the game,

except as may be made available as part of an approved game or otherwise permitted by the Commission.

(a) For the first offense, by imprisonment in the state prison for a minimum term of not less than 1 year and a maximum term of not more than 6 years, or by a fine of not more than $10,000, or by both fine and imprisonment.

(b) For a second or subsequent violation of any of these provisions, by imprisonment in the state prison for a minimum term of not less than 1 year and a maximum term of not more than 6 years, and may be further punished by a fine of not more than $10,000. I feel they are overpriced and limited is all.

I always had a hard time finding a variety, programs especially at a reasonable price. Apple hates flash as well.

Im used to Windows and Microsoft anyways

I have a beta version that is available, if anybody is particularly interested. Note that it does not (a) actually play VP, or (b) display a detailed "strategy list" of any sort; all it does is, you select a game and a pay table, then enter five cards, and it tells you which ones to hold.

I don't want to give out any information yet on how you can get it (it's not on the Google Play store) as I want one of the website's higher-ups to approve my releasing it first, in line with Forum Rule #3 ("Members in good standing may plug their own product or service, with prior permission").

Note that the app is free, and will remain free if and when it is put into public release.

Also note there are quite a few things in the iPhone app that aren't here (for example, it won't show you a list of all 32 possible combinations of holding/drawing cards with return values).

I recently downloaded (FREE) "Video Poker Expert" for my Android phone from Google Play. An app that offers 9 games: JOB, BD, BP, DBP, DDB, TDP, Double Jackpot, DD Jackpot, Deuces Wild.

Some "features" as follows: Analyze custom hands, show draw statistics, show financial statistics, show error details, show current payout table, change payout table for each individual game.

You can input custom hands and get the "details" for 32 possible draws.

Not certain if the information provided by the program is accurate and correct, but presume it is.

I have played it a lot to "learn" or reinforce strategy on some games.

Would prefer the Wizards app, and gladly spend the $9.99, but sadly, it is not available for android devices.
