The magazine used to be much better.
It had great articles, not just casino puff pieces.
I remember they one had a column called something like "The aggravated Gambler" the author visited various casino hotels and wrote critical reviews. Now the articles about casinos are advertisements masquerading as journalism.
The quality of the magazine declined when the publisher/editor Adam Fine tragically passed away at a young age.
Although I still subscribe ( I think, I do not recall seeing an issue in a while) I have 2nd thoughts when re upping comes around.
The silly best of issue is the worst of all but I understand why they do it. It is the thickest of the year filled with advertising.
Anyone else still read it?
Quote: ScanCasino Player magazine was mentioned on another thread here. I picked up my first issue in Atlantic City around 20 years ago. I have subscribed, on an off, since then.

It was Adam who died not Glenn. I think he was still in his 30s.
I got my first copy of Casino Player very early on, I want to say late 80s. Many AC properties would leave them in your room. I subscribed for several years. They used to mail a fun book to subscribers once a year. It was full of casino coupons much like ACG. I know some people who had multiple subscriptions just to get the fun book and it was more than worth it.
Like many good things it went a little downhill. I haven't read it in over ten years.
