So I just had a question on a particular drawing and if any Math Kings could help me with ratio or frequency of hits, would be appreciated.
There is a drawing where 5 numbers are chosen. You then match them to the numbers you have on your sheet. The range is 11111 to 99999 and they must be consecutive I.E. a drawing of 34967 would only match one with 24876.
So looking for the rate of 0 of 5, 1 of 5, 2 of 5 etc.
Thanks in advance.

I get these probabilties. For example, the calculation of 3 right out of 5 would be combin(5,3) * 1^3 * 8^(5 - 3) / 9^5 = 0.01083846
right | prob. | 0 | 0.55492896 | 1 | 0.34683060 | 2 | 0.08670765 | 3 | 0.01083846 | 4 | 0.00067740 | 5 | 0.00001694 | SUM | 1.00000000 |

I get the same probabilities.
This assumes there are no zeroes, and "consecutive" means "the number must match in the same spot".
ChesterDog, you need to edit your post to add a [/tbl] tag to it (after the last [/row] tag). Otherwise, all of the replies end up being treated as part of your post.
