Quote: sw232561Yep it was bonus poker, I am pretty sure of it. I have a screenshot here but can't attach it... Payout was definitely $900.
In that case, the game paid you correctly. In Bonus Poker at 5 coins per hand, the prize for Four 2s/3s/4s is 200 coins.

Longterm...depends on the paytable. If you knew you were getting this hand in advance, then sure, play TDB, but VP isn't that easy unfortunately.
In my general experience, "Bonus Poker" tends to be one of the better paying games, but it really depends on the whole paytable for the "best game" (assuming your Indian Casino offers Class III video poker).

Yep it sucks for sure. I bounce between DDB, Bonus, and JOB. On Friday I hit AAAA4 (3) and 2222A on JOB with an hour of each other. I was pissed and sad. I did get AAAAK on DDB so that helped a little.
Quote: sw232561Yeah I see that bonus poker pays higher on two pair and three of a kind (by like a credit more). SO i guess I see the trade off. But it's kind of like always betting max on a slot machine and suddenly betting less... you would kick yourself to get the jackpot on a lower bet, so you might as well always play DDB or higher! WHen my wife spins with like 5 cents in the machine, I pray that she gets nothing... luckily, that's usually true ;-)
This mentality is why DDB is partly why its the most popular video poker variant. The three of a kind is still 3 for 1 (keeps you afloat while playing), and every quad in DDB is a reasonably satisfying win, and occasionally a "quit a sizable winner win" (Aces w/kicker, Aces, and 2-4s w/kicker). What's unfortunate is, it's often one of the lower paying games available in my experience.
