If I started with a $25 chip playing baccarat betting on banker and theoretically kept winning a number of times an each time just stacked my winnings on my existing bet how would my play be rated for comps etc?

If on average I was winning say three hands before losing would I still be rated as $25 as I'm using the houses money against them, or higher, but obviously not at $200 but somewhere maybe between that and $25?

You'll be rated at whatever you happened to be betting when the floorperson looked at the table and noted your bet. If $25 is your most frequent bet amount, $25 is what you'd most likely be rated at. Of course, it doesn't hurt to draw attention to yourself when there's a giant stack of green in the circle in front of you...

I guess it's no different to the old advise of upping your bet when the floor person is looking.

Difficult to manage with this example though when you start low on $25 a hand and hit 5 wins in a row leaving $800 on the next cards when they are not looking. Then you lose and start back at $25 as he comes around to review your play.

There's no shame in asking the floorman what he has rated your average bet as. If his average bet is your minimum bet, you can explain that you had chipped up with winnings. He can boost your rating with the new information, since floormen do not generally pay attention ever.

I check, nicely, several times a day, to make sure I'm getting rated for 2 hands, for a positive progression, whatever; I've had almost no pushback from the floor on asking. I do try not to make the same person answer more than once.

So just politely bring it to their attention and ask a few times without getting annoying about how they are rating you.

Sounds simple enough.

Cool. Thanks, I have generally been too shy to ask. I will try this next time I don't flat bet. Thank you.

I can't find you on the Suspension List, Jrourke, but your name is in red. Are you a secret suspendee?

What is your issue? This persona of a member was suspended months ago for having 4 accounts from which they were posting. There are lots of names who never make the suspension list; spammers, dupe accounts, trolls, whatever. Nothing secret about it. But the account remains in the members list for whatever reason.

I'm not sure I'm the one with the issue. I saw the name and didn't recognize it. I checked the profile and found nine polite and respectful posts making me curious as to why the name is in red.

Perhaps the poster didn't realize that only one account was permitted. It wouldn't be the first time we heard that.

I think that was the particular case, actually. I allowed him to keep one account active, killed the other 3 with his agreement. He was here for a while longer, but hasn't been active lately.

Is there a second separate suspension list that the admins use? If you don't record the suspension actions and reasons, how can other admins know what to do?

No, we use the same one.

I think it was perhaps easier when there was only JB and the Wiz, then Mission and Wiz, than it is now, with 5 of us. Which is also why the suspension list is so much more populated; more people need info about what's going on with a suspension than did before. I don't think it was as necessary to track every action on it with only 2 mods.

OK, I agree with that point. But you're saying that it's more important to track every suspension now. And, you're making that statement in response to a series of posts about how, in the current environment, the suspension of the OP of this thread was not recorded.

The member was not banned. The aliases were shut off, leaving a single account. It's apparent to any admin looking at any of the 4 accounts what happened; they reflect internally. Frankly, it didn't seem necessary at the time; it was more of an administrative issue that got straightened out to the member's and the admins' satisfaction. I'm still not sure why it's an issue now. There is no way the suspension list reflects every ID blocked for dupe ID's, bot posts, spammers, stuff like that. Never has. Doubt it ever will. Wiz/JB choose to retain blocked ID's in the member list, no matter the reason.
