Is it trolling if you quote reply to another post with an original quote under your user name.

I just got a temporary suspension for trolling in another forum and I don't understand. I replied to a post that had a quote of mine in his post and they consider that trolling as in replying to my own post. Is this trolling?
8 more years till retirement.

That, in itself, doesn't sound like trolling to me.
But maybe the offense had to do with the content of the posts.

Their forum; their rules.
Do the provide a reason for the suspension as the Wizard and his minions do in most cases?
If they just say you are suspended and won't talk about it, then it just isn't as good of a board as this one.

They might not like nested quotes, and call it trolling because they are lazy.

Sounds more like thread bumping if it seems the intent. Otherwise I would think there are limited acceptable ways and it would depend on the user and the post.

Well........ since he is suspended there, he can't really ask anyone there about it.
Could be a case where they didn't care for the contents, and just made up trolling as a reason.

I think that one would depend on context. I've seen the word used in very derogatory fashion, but also lightheartedly, especially after the Despicable movies came out. I would assume positive intent, myself, as I did here (I think correctly).
But, say, "You are such a brainless JP minion!" would probably get popped.

Was it Goodshooter dot com? Everyone gets suspended over there on whims. I apparently got suspended or banned over there for something I posted here!
