ie: bet $25, win $25. next bet = $50
I've come up w/a strategy for powerpressing Dark in Craps (3/4/5x odds).
$35 don't pass/210 odds. if win 3x in a row, walk away with ~$1000 profit.
there's also baccarat as banker (5% vig):
$250 -> 487 -> $950
profit if 3 in a row= 1600 in profit
I think Don't Pass is the best bet for winning 3 in a row.
low risk. you only lose $35 if the comeout roll is a 7 or 11.
you risk the majority of your $ after the point is made when you add odds.
as a bonus, Dont Pass w/odds has one of the lowest HE in a casino.
What do you think?
Quote: endermikeThe odds are capped at 210 unless you raise the DP bet as well (I believe). That caps your profit unless you are willing to lose more when the DP loses.
yes, don't pass = $35 then 60, then 100.
but you're still only risking 1/7th of your total bet on the comeout roll.

If it hits once playing the Don't do you continue to only bet the original amount of odds plus the winnings? If so it seems like it will take more than 3 rolls depending on the point. Since the odds always pay less than 1 to 1 you'll either have to risk more of your bankroll to continue to play full odds - thus increasing risk of a larger loss - or take longer to hit the $1000 profit.
$35/$210 with point of 4 pays $35/$105
2nd bet: $70/$310 point 10 pays $70/$155
3rd bet $140/$470 point 4 pays $140/$235 for a total of $280/$695 = $975 - original bets of $35/$210 for a profit of $730
Of course the odds are against you never hitting a 7/11 on the come out roll and also getting paid on your 3 DP bets.
Three points of 6/8 in a row would pay significantly better and give you the $1000 profit but then the odds of getting paid are lower.
my goal for the powerpressing strategy isn't $1000. it's winning 3x in a row.
so even if the point were all 4s, I will walk away with $700 and be happy because I hit my win goal.

Well in that case it sounds like it might be the best bet for you. Once the point is established the odds will always be in your favor.
