I think we've always done saturdays. From a timing/travel perspective, that's almost certainly the best option. But we've also always had a hard time finding a game/table/activity that could fit everyone, and some of that difficulty is almost certainly because we're trying to do it on saturday.

Just for the nerdy sort of accuracy expected in this forum: WoVCon I was on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
I am open and available for either day. I suspect that rdw is correct that we would have a better chance of getting our group together at a casino table on a day other than Saturday. Because of my flexibility on the day, I have not (yet) voted in this poll. If I do eventually vote, I will edit this post to note that.

My new tentative plan has me arriving on the 20th now. I may opt for a shorter stay at a nicer place, but I'm not sure yet.

So this thread has been dormant for almost five days. Does that mean that six votes conclude the poll? Is there a definite decision as to when we will get together?
I ask because I would like to make my reservations early, particularly for the airline flights. A quick check indicates that a variation of two days on my return date would make a $230 per person difference in the fare. I would like to book before the lower prices disappear for all of those days.
My wife and I are looking into the possibility of flying to LAS on Tuesday 4/22, dropping down to Palm Springs, maybe stopping by Laughlin, getting back to Las Vegas for the weekend, and heading home on Tuesday 4/29 because that is the cheapest day.
I hope we can have more than six people show up for whatever we're calling this year's gathering.

Yes, I would say that six votes settles it. Saturday feels better anyway. Time for the next poll on location.

Oh, I learned last year to avoid memorial weekend. And it's someone else's birthday in April ;) I also leanred over the years that early Spring in Vegas is very pleasant, but late Spring or early Summer can quickly become hellish.
We could institute a "new tradition" for WoVCon and declare the luncheon "WoV-members birthday celebration." Or take an old tradition and celebrate everyone's un-birthday (though someone will have a birthday that day and ruin things <w>)

BTW, I did purchase our plane tickets for the 2014 Spring WoVCon, or whatever we're calling it. I just haven't been thinking/talking much about it, because I will be heading to Vegas less than a week from now. Detail planning on one Vegas Vacation at a time.
