I can't tell if you're joking so sorry if I missed something. You're from Georgia and you've got 12 years on her. Are you going to fly across the country and sweep her off her feet? Do you think she'll be high maintenance? Are you the clingy type? Does she like the clingy type?
Wouldn't it be great if a serious romance blossomed from this forum? The Wizard could get his license and perform the nuptials while on his unicycle. He would never leave the building like that Elvis guy.

Was the check drawn on a Nigerian bank by any chance? Regardless, the check will be fake but you will have given her the change in real money by then (it can take weeks for the check to be verified as fake sometimes, then they will just reverse it out of your account). One of the oldest scams in the book. "You've just won a big prize. Send us a check for the taxes, and we'll send it right out to ya." C'mon dude, DO NOT DO THIS! They have banks in LA. Tell her to get her own ticket. DO NOT send her any money, change or otherwise. Seriously, THIS IS TROUBLE, be very careful.
