80 and 76 in PA are generally awful in bad weather. Just sayin'. 80 is a wasteland with no large towns nearby other than Wilkes-Barre at the far east. 76 is up and down the mountains, and you'd think it would be better cared for being a toll road, but my experience has been it isn't. I don't know about 99.

I appreciate the weather update. I'm leaning on the side of caution. Like I said, I70 & I71 were horrible in Ohio on President's Day night driving back from a college visit with my daughter. So I'm not sure I want to "gamble" and take a chance on the weather.

It'll be a shame if you can't make it, but the event is too close to even propose an outright cancellation.
I'm really sorry about the way all of this has gone, looking at the extended forecasts since early February on multiple sites indicated that we would be in our second week with Highs in the 50's by now, it was only during the last week or week-and-a-half that things took this turn, and they've been recanting on everything they'd originally predicted this entire month.
The weather for this date has been Progressively getting worse, little-by-little, over the last few weeks. Like I said, I intend to go ahead and organize a second WoV East/Midwest/Appalachia for later in this year and plan to begin such organization in July with the event in September or October.

Yea unfortunately I think I'm going to have to bow out also. [And I already printed my Terrace gift certificate :( ] I was hoping it would wait until very late on Sunday but some reports are saying afternoon and I don't want to risk it. I know 76 is pretty bad, but I was planning on taking 68 until I remembered a few Thanksgivings ago when I was in blinding fog/snow there and it was not pretty.

From what I am reading it looks like it is going to be possibly raining around noon. If we still do dinner at 5pm and I am heading home around 6:30 then there is a chance for an inch or 2 on the ground. I don't think that is going to cause too much trouble.

South looks to get getting most of it now so anyone coming from the east or north should be ok.

That was a lucky idea. I was pleased with the restaurant. Not everybody loved their food but I thought the service was pretty decent. Are you planning on calling the manager guy tomorrow to let him know how it went?
I would think they were happy with our group from a tip standpoint. I know you tipped well and I tipped 30%.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

They should be happy, I tipped the waitress 88.46% because I appreciated how nicely our table was set up...lol

I still tipped a greater dollar amount!
(TeddyS was determined to tip better than me at the restaurant yesterday)
Edit: How much was your bill, did we not have the same thing? Unless my coffee was $5, I'm missing something, though the cheesecake may have been more expensive than the lava cake by a few bucks...

On a related note, I can't remember if this was stated previously or not, but I'm kicking myself for not realizing until last night that "purchasing" the advanced games on the Meadows WebPass site allows you to collect 1700 points easily every day. It says it costs 750 to unlock them (although 7000 were withdrawn from my account) but you earn 100 points per game just for clicking on it - which is pretty easy with Ctrl+click or middle-click to open them all in separate tabs.
WebPass advanced games are down for maintenance. Hopefully they don't take away the easy 1700 points per day!
