Thank you, KeyserSoze. I wonder why it is not included on the current list non their website? I going to purchase a couple copies and hope. Lol. BTW, is there any restrictions printed in that coupon? (Some coupons have a once per year, or once per 30 days restrictions)
FWIW- I purchased the 2014 edition from Amazon in November. Lets hope the copies you order are the same as mine.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm glad to help.
Quote: darthxaosDoes the ACG include any Oklahoma casino coupons for Winstar, Riverwind, Treasure Valley et al (places between Dallas and OKC on I-35)?
Doesn't look like it from 2013

And here is the 2014 list

Last year my girlfriend and I did the same coupon at the Golden Gate. Both rolled 7s on the come out, with $5/each for the boys on pass, and left. Good times!
*edit*
nevermind, I found the fine print online. no min buyin for new members.
. Kj, a restriction that you will probably be concerned with that may apply, is that this coupon does not apply if you double down on a hard 12, which takes a decent amount of value from it. This is if the coupon is the same as the D's push 22 coupon in the LVA booklet from last year, where I believe you had to give the coupon to the players club, then they gave you the coupon to use at the table.Quote: kewljThank you, KeyserSoze. What is the optimal strategy for playing with a push 22 coupon?Quote: mcallister3200. Does the restriction appear on the coupon given by Players Services?
I lost my coupon last year. I had it on the felt, but the count tanked and I wonged out and left it there. I'm still pissed about that.
Quote: AcesAndEightsDoes anyone know the EV of this coupon (push your bet on a 22?). Kewlj has mentioned it at $25 but that doesn't seem right for some reason...
I guess when you use the coupon, it is literally worth $25 as you keep your green chip. But assuming basic strategy, you would be exposed to the house edge until you use it, right? So that would eat in to the value depending on how often this situation occurs.
I don't recall where I saw it(if iI had to guess I would say bjr.net) but I believe you're playing at around 104-105% while the coupon is in play, which would mean you would expect it to take about 20 hands to get a 22. Remember to hit your 12 vs. 4-6 with the coupon!Quote: AcesAndEightsDoes anyone know the EV of this coupon (push your bet on a 22?). Thanks for the 12 vs 4-6 tip. I just always played basic strategy w/ the coupon, since it never takes long to bust w/ a 22.
But I'll hit a 12 next time.
Quote: kewljHas anyone purchased the 2014 ACG? I was just about to purchase a couple copies as I do each year for the match play and free play coupons, when I looked through the coupon list. Absent was any mention of a push on 22 blackjack coupon at D (downtown) up to $25 max bet, that was listed when the 2014 list came out in October. This would have been a new coupon from previous years and I was very excited when I saw that list, but now I see no mention of such a coupon.
How does the coupon work? If the player gets exactly 22 he pushes against any dealer outcome (even a dealer bust) except a dealer blackjack? And what happens if you bet $25 and double on 12 (since the coupon is limited to a $25 wager)? If you caught a 10 would you lose the double down wager and push the original wager?
Sometimes, using various coupons (assuming you only have one coupon) you shouldn't deviate from regular strategy much. It can actually cut the value of the coupon especially if you plan on playing BJ at that level anyway.Quote: HowManyThanks for the 12 vs 4-6 tip. I believe the coupon doesn't apply on doubles, but I don't have proof of that.
My understanding of the coupon is that as soon as you bust with a 22, you hand over the coupon and keep your bet, regardless of dealer outcome. If the dealer had a BJ, you would have already lost as they would have peeked.
I always thought that the handful of articles in the front of the book were very helpful for beginners. They also had a couple of pages that showed JoB video poker strategy.
