Well we are getting close, less then 2 weeks away.
I'm pretty excited. Excited about going to Vegas that is, I'm sure this challenge will be a lot of fun.
I have a morning flight out of Tampa Dec 21 with a bit of a tight connection in Atlanta. Should arrive 1130am Spending 6 nites in Vegas
I plan on videotaping if Delta gets me there on time. I bought a 32gb card and my video recorder still just has a limit of 30 min a file. Oh well, will have a few second gaps between files as I am sure Mission will go over 30min. Plan on placing my tablet next to mission146 with a large timer.

I've placed my main bets and prop bets with Mike:
1. Even money C-Note on the win/lose decision.
2. I've laid 1:3 ($60 to win $180 for Mike - $240 and down) - if Pierce cannot "keep the grease" without either hurling - or even visibly dry-heaving. Mike thinks its way certain that Pierce WILL have some sort of biological reaction from all dat greaze.
So, If Pierce loses graciously, - and avoids the heaves or the hurl - I recoup MUCHO on the side bet hedge. No hurl or heave, no loss for Danny. Mike thinks the Mickey-D's grease is a hurling lock.
If he loses big - then I lose big to Mike.
I'm betting on our fine Pierce here.

Mike is getting 3 to 1 ($60 bet to win $180) that Mission will hurl, as evidenced by:
1. Visibly vomiting.
2. Non-visible but acknowledged reversal by Mission.
3. Visibly dry heaving.
This bet will take place over the course of the challenge itself. Once Pierce has been declared a winner or loser, this bet will be adjudicated. Any reversal, including deliberate, after the closing of the main bet won't count.
Countdown: 13 days.

I voted 'I am Varmanti' because it made the most sense.
I plan on showing up with a full stomach and sitting across
from Pierce and use an emetic to vomit periodically. I'm

I definitely appreciate the confidence, I'm interested in what would be considered a fair Money Line on me based on general public sentiment. It's a limited sample size, but it seems like I am a huge favorite at this point. I think having a moniker of, "Mission," probably helps...j/k
This could be interesting for the betting: I couldn't have done it today, I'm not ill, but my stomach has felt pretty heavy all day long. It might have come back up. Although, I did have some stuffed grape leaves this morning, and it seemed as though there was entirely too much lemon zest, so that could have been a factor, as well. I obviously wouldn't eat something such as stuffed grape leaves on the day of the competition, probably a light salad for breakfast and nothing but water to drink that day.

Mission after you accomplish this task you can write about your "Chicken McNugget eating system" and post pictures of you holding a handful of McNuggets to prove to the haters you are the real deal. Of course we would want to see some mathematical equations for that!

Not wagering, but after careful analysis I would bet against Mission. My son, who has succeeded at previous competitive eating challenges, one being the 5 pound burrito in half an hour at Burrito Bay, only made it up to 88 tasty McNuggets. He of course only had around half an hour, and had just run two miles and done two crossword puzzles, but it did not seem like the time was any factor.
Wiz and Mission need to agree on two things..... If something 'comes up', but stays in Mission's mouth, is that a win or a loss? If the last 5 or so McNuggets are in Mission's mouth at the time limit, does he actually have to swallow them or can they 'hang out' in Mission's mouth until the 10 minute waiting period is up?
By the way, is there an official World Record for McNugget eating? My guess is the real competitive eaters could do over 200 in 10 minutes. That seem like around equivalent to 69 hot dogs and buns....

I'm not wagering either but will be attending and video taping. Plan on a small tabletop tripod to put the camera on.
My opinion is if something comes up but not out of his mouth, Mission is good. There is a sidebet though on this happening but I believe mission will be good on the main bet if nothing comes out.
Also my understanding is the mouth has to be clear after the 100 nuggets for the 10 min keep down clock to start.

I am rooting for you all the way man.
Now let me make a suggestion.
In this contest you will probably need to catch a few"key burps".
In order to facilitate this I reccomend a bottle of tums.
Everytime you down 10 nuggets go ahead and chew up 2 tums and swallow them so that your stomach doesn't explode.
Also,this will help with the bad stomach ache you will get from the abnormal amount of grease that will be entering your body quite rapidly.
Hope you pull it off!

I was going to say the same thing to you, about no bet if you have prior knowledge that he was defiantly coming, But I was thinking you wanted to bet Hundreds of dollars, I'm not concerned with a $10 bet. It seems like a win, win situation for me. If he is a no show, I make $10. If he shows up the entertainment value has to exceed $20 by far, He may even sing and bring some cards then use some keno crayons to draw a Bac layout and show us his system.
