I called the front desk and explained. After 20 min, they said nothing was turned in or found. I went downstairs demanded they investigate more because I had 2 slot ticktets in my jacket pocket totaling just over 1k along with my Credit card. As well as an Ipad. GF starts crying, management contacts security.Security said nothing was found or turned in.
After much discussion and asking them to investgate and track down the slot tickets and stop any redemptions. They told me they would get back to me.
Finally we went back to our room. A while later security brought back my jacket and I pad. I said, "hold on, let me check my jacket pockets." Everything BUT my slot tickets and credit card was there. Days later and still nothing.
Quote: AxelWolfLong story short. While in AC. We were still checked in it was around 10 am. While moving rooms , we had to much crap to move from 1 room to the other, two trips were needed. Still checked in, we left the DND sign on the door and some things behind, we returned approx 30 min later. (I did notice the maid a few doors down, next to her supply cart as we left but thought nothing of it.) We Gatherd what was left behind and went to the new room. A while later My GF asked me where her Ipad was. I said, "I thought u grabbed it." I then noticed my jacket was also missing.

There must have been cameras in the hallway. To hell with the customers. A good maid is hard to find. That appears to be the treatment you are getting.
A small ticket from a diffrent casino was in a side pocket it was not touched. I was told the head of house keeping was called to the room when the maid seen the items.
I have always hated slot tickets. Its not the first one I have had lost or stolen. I doubt it's the last.
Dead Run is luggage-lugger lingo for moving bags from one room to a different room often instructed because the arriving guest was placed in a temporary room while the ultimate room was still being prepped or had not been reasonably available for some other reason.
You put everything in suitcases just inside the door, the bellman takes them all to the new room... maid service handles it as a routine checkout. The bellman goes no more than a few feet into each of the two rooms.
The door lock is open briefly, the employee is trusted. In order to lose anything it would have to be pilferage which takes time and might lead to small potatoes, so it simply doesn't happen. Bellman's job and Maid's job mean too much to them.
Your situation was indeed "most likely" an honest maid who thought you had already checked out and everything was handled fine until the guards learned of the tickets and took them thinking they could cash them thru friends before you put through any stop order. Its the security supervisor's worry now. Get to the cage and the shift supervisor as fast as you can.

Wow, you're a very trusting person. I never
leave anything that is money (slot tickets,
CC's, cash) anywhere but on my person all the
time, or in the room when I'm there. I don't
trust anybody that I don't personally know
extremely well.
Any claim a customer makes to the DGE, they have to reasonably invesitgate. The DGE will more often than not contact Surveillance directly to get the footage or ask for help with the investigation. They have no allegiances to security and they should do a full investigation if you can help them out with the necessary info.
Good luck and don't stop pressing them for an answer. $1k is a lot of money!!!
