I don't remember seeing drunk pumpkins before this year. Did I just miss them before? this is a GREAT idea...

Drunk pumpkins...
I've not ever been fond of depictions of drunkards and that includes the drunk pumpkin, however, it does seem a bit appropriate for those who are familiar with pumpkin beer or pumpkin ale. Now pumpkin wine is really good stuff, it is probably the most healthful wine, short of the older rough red wines from a tiny district near the Spanish border. But pumpkin ale is really nasty stuff unfit for human consumption.

Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale is one of the best beers I've ever had. Rated 97/100 at ratebeer, and 99/100 within its beer "style". It's one of the best in its class at beeravocate as well. It is easily the best beer they have ever made that I have actually tried (maybe 4 or 5 total). Fortunately for me, I can get this 8% ABV beer (that tastes like a 5% ABV beer) for $33 a case a Sam's club, yes Sam's club, since I am near St. Louis. Most STL places sell it for $9.5-$10.5 a 6 pack.

Also, here is a similarly ranked beer that I tried for the first time that I am really liking tonight (double IPA, not pumpkin though):
