I just moved to middle of nowhere Iowa as a dealer from Las Vegas. Originally from the Chicago area!
My next calling is to study Actuarial Science and do statistics for major slot companies!
I am 24 years old, married with a 1 year old daughter! Does anyone know of any major Actuary programs in different areas?!
Relocation is a habit, not a problem, but it would be nice to raise my daughter somewhere great! :D

I think most actuarial science departments are in the north-east and Chicago. You don't have to major in actuarial science to become an actuary. A math degree with do just fine. Also, actuarial science is not the ideal course of study if your goal is to do statistics for a slot machine company. I'd say they would rather see somebody with a strong computer science background. The math of slots is not that hard.

Ive just always been a jack of all trades, master of none. I want to find my real calling regardless of what it may be! I feel being a multi-game dealer and enthusiast in casino environment will help me succeed somehow, but I don't quite know what to pursue. I am having anxiety and feeling this is my last real chance to commit to something and accomplish it! Gaming, Casinos, Hospitality is what I see myself doing, but I don't know how where or what to begin with! It's really starting to wear on me as I have a child and have been dealing cards watching people get promoted making less money. It's hard. I honestly am posting on this site to hopefully find someone who cares as much about the business as do I.

Ive tried three different degree programs thus far. Computer networking, Statistics and Hospitality Management. Do you think these things are even worth finishing or trying for something new? I make a significant amount as a casino dealer now, but I feel as if I need something more to benefit my family and couldn't possibly see myself making what I do now in 40 years. After all I believe in at the end of the day it is about the money, but at the same time this business is what I love to be apart of.

Agreed 100%. Major in math, minor in computer science or vice-versa (bonus: at lots of places, many courses count for both). Either would be better than actuarial sciences.
