that craps in Vegas sucks. He says in Vegas they
never let you shoot, compared to AC. And nobody in
Vegas has any money, compared to AC. Black chips
are common on the table and in Vegas its like nobody
has any money. He said even Tunica is better than
Vegas for craps. Can anybody here verify all of this,
is AC a better craps town?
Of course Ahigh threatened to ban him for bad mouthing
Vegas. Ahigh threatens people every day with banning,
its very comical. He manages to find insults when none
were intended.

In vegas they never let you shoot? Is that code for "In AC, there are no other players"? :-)
Vegas probably has the worst average odds of those 3 towns. I'm not sure that the color of the chips on the felt matters, but the average HE is probably highest in Vegas.
Discussed here:

In terms of the clientele? Uh, at least in Vegas you don't have to deal with NYC accents all the time. By in large though, I don't really notice a difference, but I do play at lower end places in AC.

I don't do AC anymore, but I'd imagine their craps tables to be no different.
I see quite a bit of black chip and above action at MGM, especially on weekends.
Could be the guy at Ahigh's board played downtown, and not at one of the better strip properties.

Yeah, I find it hilarious that the Ahigh-ster threatens to ban every non-buttkisser on his forum. And he wonders why no one takes him seriously?
Vig on the win,
$1 on $35 Buy 4 and 10
Vig on win for Buy 5 and 9
$1 vig on $36 Buy 5 and 9
3X Field common
Fire bet and Small Tall All betsl
And the dealers are most always very friendly with little attitude, save for 1 or 2
Quote: teddysVegas is not the place to play craps anymore. 3x4x5x odds is the norm in the nicer places, and the 10x/20x places are all down-at-heel. Dealers are bitter for the most part. I'd play in the Midwest or down South. (Or even better, Colorado).
You can say that again. And ironically, these are the same characters who b*tch the most about tips.
However, the best craps dealer and casino employee that I have ever seen is Christoper (maybe late 20's, thin guy with glasses) at the Atlantic Club in AC. I have no clue why he isn't at the Borgata.
Quote: deedubbsAtlantic City doesn't offer that kind of diversity, it always seems like it's 95% NJ, PA, and NY residents.
.
True, however, on the positive side, if a table gets hot there is no experience like the roar you will hear in AC. I'll never forget a roll at Caesars where they had to call for two fills, two. $10.usd bettors were winning thousands and thousands. Everything is tempered in Las Vegas as people are on vacation as you say.
As far as the comment on black chips, etc... he should probably go to Wynn or Bellagio if he like to see and play with high action.

There are also plenty of places at 2x, and that's something you just don't see in other jurisdictions. It's obviously true that people can just choose not to play at those sub-par Vegas houses, but it's also true that this isn't a choice that a person has to make in AC.
Quote: ahiromuAC is (universally?) 5x except for Bally's which is 10x
I played at Harrah's and Resorts AC on Sunday. I am too cheap to play full odds at most places, so maybe I wasn't paying full attention. Resorts definitely offered 5x, but I thought Harrah's had 10x.
I played no more than 2.5x at a $10 table.

He's like a Yale man: you can always tell him, but you can't tell him much.
How does 3x, 4x, 5x work in Vegas?
Quote: Dicenor33Vow, it was me who was banned from Ahigh website . I like the way the wizard outlines of what you can and can not say . Ahigh is a man of mystery , I must guess of what he thinks and if you wrong he cuts your head off .anyway , 90% of people think that it's impossible to influence the game of craps and tiny minority believes otherwise , Ahigh is among them . I brought my explanation to an ongoing dispute , which resulted in a carnage by the wild man . Stalin and Pol Pot got the replacement .
The "Ahigh suspension" thread is full of stories like yours. He has made some wild accusations about many of us here.

3x odds on the 4 & 10
4x odds on the 5 & 9
5x odds on the 6 & 8
No rounding up (that I've ever seen).
Quote: thezoneIve played craps just about everywhere , including Monte Carlo overseas. Craps is craps... However, the factors that are key contributors for me are energy and flow. You can find the type of game / tables you want in either AC or Vegas.. whether you like crowded tables and slow dice or open tables with fast action, you can find a place in either city... just need to go at the right times usually.
As far as the comment on black chips, etc... he should probably go to Wynn or Bellagio if he like to see and play with high action.
thezone - can you start a post on what's it like to play in the actual Monte Carlo?
