I didn't know that, though my ignorance is perhaps due to the fact that I've never studied the topic.
On the other hand, I have had a bit of confusion on dates and various other things ever since they changed my Zodiac sign to one I had never even heard of before -- a man holding a snake???? It used to be a familiar archer. Who gave those seers the right to mess up my whole life?

The Russians still clung to the Julian Calendar by 1917. So while it was October in their calendar, as far as the rest of the world was concerned it happened in November.
George Washington was not born on Washington's Birthday. Another oddity due to the change to the Gregorian calendar, though I'm not sure of the details.
