i saw someone with a little over $5k playing e-baccarat. he was playing $500/hand.
when he tried to cashout, the machine said handpay and a couple of attendents arrived a min later.
Anyone know what the handpay threshold is for e-machines?

I've had different experiences in different places. In PA, it would freeze the game and force a handpay if you collected 1200 on one hand (a wager of 600). Interestingly, it would also not allow the balance to get above 2500 in some places, and print a voucher for your wins after any hand that would put the balance above that figure. I think that was at Penn National and Sands. This was not a handpay though, and I'm speaking of the digital blackjack Shufflemaster game.

e-machines are considered a slot machine.
so any win + original bet that is $1200+ gets a W-2g, thus a machine lock.
in nyc's casino, any win+original bet $600-$1199 prints out a voucher instead of adding to your balance. ($1200+ gets the usual machine lock.)
in ny, any ticket over $600 gets checked against back taxes and missing child payments.
