Different viewpoint. Chief shop steward in AT&T too many years. Seen too many people chase their pensions by uprooting family to go where a safe job was, even though it's closure was already in management's plans.

Sure, I get that.

-Nothing- to do with National Socialism's concentration camps, or the idea of make-work projects by the government to cure inflation. These are ideas where work is created for political reasons (in the most disgusting way). Not cutting 'safe jobs'.

Come on, use a little historical perspective rather than a few throwaway words.

That was the point I was trying to make to Mission. Unless it is a mon&pop shop, ot every one in an organization knows everything.

True. But ignorant or misleading customer service personnel in a company that has amassed a checkered reputation in the short time of one year, to say the least, is not forgivable.

Prior to going to the Revel I read a few posts where people were bashing the Revel. In my head I thought it must suck. When I arrived it was very very impressive it looked awesome definitely my kind of place. Swag it had. The carpet alone was mesmerizing. I thought what are them nut balls talking about bashing this beautiful place. Most of the employees were nice. So much nice seating, lots of room ,cool designs , free pool table ,fire pits, fuse ball, free wifi , the room decor was awesome the suits were impressive. I love everything but the food and well now I Would never trust gambling there again with the bullshit they are pulling unless they rectify this soon, I will tell all friends and family including message boards NOT TO GAMBLE THERE EVER. +1.

We should have known hearing that message every 15 minutes asking for a second chance and saying we made mistakes forgive us july will a great month here at revel that we were in trouble. Everytime I heard it a chill went down my spine. They played it so much though I was thinking maybe they truly are sorry for past mistakes. No I was just a sucker a dumbass to believe it was all true.

I played lost my ass then was told I was kicked out of the promo. I didn't get a reason why I was just told if I wanted to ask questions that I had to call their lawyer Lloyd Levenson. It was weird because people were playing like crazy on the 1st but then on the 2nd the high limit area looked like a ghost town. This was a premeditated scam please nobody go actually thinking that you will get your money back. The worst part is everyone got kicked out that played on the 1st and nobody got a reason.

dshot702, I really hope you've contacted the gaming commission, and encouraged anyone you meet in the same situation to do the same. Same for you, AxelWolf. You have a strong likelihood of success. It also may be useful to get contact information for other players in the same situation, in case it comes to legal action.

...speaking of which, I'll defer to our resident lawyer when it comes to legal strategy, but personally, I wouldn't even try to contact the lawyer. Someone who is trying to screw you over, and says "talk to my lawyer", is not doing so in the hopes of clearing up misunderstandings and establishing a fair and reasonable outcome. They are doing so as part of their effort to screw you over. They are either trying to delay you, or trying to intimidate you, or trying to extract potentially damaging information out of you.

The one entity here which has power and which might have the goal of establishing a fair outcome is the gaming commission, so deal with them.

No, you shouldn't have known, and you couldn't have known. The odds that they have truly corrected past mistakes and are running a hugely generous promotion may be low, but the odds that a large company which depends on its reputation is planning to engage in criminal behavior are even lower. I'm as cynical about casinos as the next guy, and more cynical than most, and I still would have laid heavy odds against an outcome like this.

You are not to blame. Revel is to blame. Make them pay.

It's disappointing that they told you to wait 30 days, I thought CCC had more teeth than that. The one time I contacted Nevada Gaming about casino misbehavior, they drove out and chewed out the casino's general manager and had things set right within hours. I wouldn't expect that level of service every time, but "wait 30 days" is pretty bad.

If the Gaming agent suggests you get a lawyer, you should get a lawyer. I don't know why he suggested that, but he knows more than I do.

The casino is just using this card deactivating as a stall tactic. They know they will lose any case where a legit loss was incurred in the long run and have to pay back any players losses. They cant really keep you from the promotion legitimately so they just tell people their cards/play is being investigated which is probably in their rights to have any player investigated to avoid legitimate fraud. Now gaming commission says it will take 30 days to Finnish the investigation. Then the promotion will be finished. After that they will say oh sorry we were wrong here is your card back feel free to pick up your small loss over 20 weeks. How perfect is that? IT'S JUST A CLEVER WAY FOR THE CASINO TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHO THEY WANT TO PLAY THE PROMOTION OR NOT.

Truthfully, I'm a little bit shocked that you (and maybe others) who were scammed by Revel haven't already retained lawyers. I wouldn't have even let them finish telling me that they weren't honoring their end of the deal, I would have been on the phone with my lawyer immediately.

Okay I keep running into different people, OVER 10 different people now and its only 4 days into this mess who, swear up and down they have inside information and are %100 sure some even claim they have proof that a well known AP is consulting secretly for the Revel. Normally I would think they are just paranoid and I don't really believe in such roomers. I normally just think they are conspiracy theorists. However, a few of them brought up some good points. Some points are very interesting and sound. I will call them theories for now. As I said some people said they have proof but they said they cant say exactly who or what that proof is for now. I wish they would come and give their facts or even just state what they have mentioned to me. If anyone has any information or thoughts on any thing like that we would all love to hear about it. Don't be afraid please speak up. TO MAKE THIS CLEAR I'M NOT SAYING THIS MYSELF. I'm only telling everyone what I'm hearing from multiple trustworthy people. I don't want this swept under the rug.

The Digital Blackjack game in the DigiPit is also part of the promotion:

8D
H17
DOA
DAS

Is this worth playing with the rebate?

I normally play:
6D
S17
DOA
DAS

Thanks.

I believe this promotion is only good if you actually get paid back your losses. to make it worth your while to play it seems you have to go for a big loss or win big the problem with the Revel is that once you start to lose of win too much they yank your card for 30 days. so u may get paid your losses back but if you lose 5k do you really want to go back 20 times to pick up 5k? also you may get on a no mail list or treated like crap when you want to play something in the future. I suggest not playing this promotion until they get their act together.

Some interesting things I just heard:

One guy had his promotional chips taken away that he was given for showing up, a while after he was given them. They threatened him with arrest if he did not return them. The reason? He was playing high limit slots and VP and they inferred that he must be a professional gambler.

Revel revoked all offers of free play and rooms for this month to help pay for the promotion, rescinding offers that had already been sent out. Good reward for the loyal customers that patronized this place pre-June.

They deactivated player cards for playing roulette, and shut down the roulette machine within an hour. All of the electronic table games are now turned off, except for digital blackjack where the limit was reduced to $100.

Some players were deactivated for just playing $5 video poker straight up. In many cases the comp balance was also stolen as well.

Check your sources. First, offers of free play and comped rooms for July went out and are still being honored. The roulette machines which were turned off were not the electronic table game version by the digipit. They are back on now anyway. The roulette in the digipit is only available swing shift. All games in the digipit have a $100 max bet.

Your other two assertions of players backed off sound odd...but I can't disprove them as I can your other statements. However, anyone who wants to play this promo straight up on $5 single-line 8/5 JoB should be allowed to do so...that's a long painful grind.

Just got back from Revel and have a few tidbits to add.

1) They don't honor Matchplay(at least not at the card center) so bringing in a mailer for MP is useless.

2) I put in $100 to "go for it" and this happened... Revel Slot Hit

I did keep playing to complete the $100 refund, but I'm not sure if I am still eligible for the rebate since I "Won" quite a bit more than my buy-in.

Do I have to actually lose $100 of my own money or just play $100 in the slot machine to get the refund???

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

how are things being honored if cards are revoked from players who PLAYED LEGIT ON $100 SLOTS?
there is a list of players who never played in the REVEL who cant get a players card. they have a list of names that include known APs who can play big. that they received from some consultant no doubt

they are watching and targeting people as they play and then determining via some formula or consultant if your a threat to make money from the promotion.

Roulette machines have not been restored to how they were they have been drastically down graded to 34 to 1 pay off i believe and a .25 cent machines

you can watch for yourself. first a manager occasionally walks around with a list of machine numbers and possibly names i only seen numbers on that particular list and can only assume its machine numbers. with this list in his hand stands behind APs watches for a few seconds looks at the list then writes something down and walks away. I watched this over and over i warned a few people this was happening and sure enough the people who i noticed this happen to had their card revoked. I warned a few people the first day as the manager had not got to that section yet. the player left in time and waited they seemed to have no problems as of yet.

the rapid roulette is supposed to be open daily at 12 noon and have $500 bets on the outside

I wasn't referring to people like you and I who had our cards revoked. The post said Revel were not honoring any offers in order to pay for this. That's not correct. We're getting to the point, again, in this thread where too much is being revealed. Most of the folks who are stirring up this conversation are not in the same realm as the people who came in to really play this promo. I don't say that to insult the regulars here...but there's a whole other world out there than what gets talked about on the internet. Please respect that there are livelihoods built around AP play, so some people take this stuff very seriously. To those, like me, that got burned by Revel, we should take the conversation out of the public eye.

That would... explain a lot, actually. I was surprised that Dancer posted about the play to vpfree, he's not one to endanger the EV on his own plays by publicizing them. (Other people's plays, or plays that he's already hit, that's another matter.) Then I was even more surprised that he said he had no intention of playing it himself, as I wouldn't think he'd pass up a $40k play because of a 50-60% risk he'd have to make ten overnight return trips. But if he played up the danger to the casino in public and then offered his consulting services in private, he could make money from the opportunity without the traveling and also establish a business relationship that could be useful for him in the future.

I have no idea if that's what actually happened - I'm mentioning the possibility, I'm not even saying it's probable - but like I said, it would explain some things.

I planned on publishing an article about this that would get carried by Google News so anyone that searched for Revel would see it for at least several days and it would surely be seen by Revel. I have had some private contact but nobody has wanted me to publicize what is happening beyond getting bounced from the promo and what is already known in this thread.

I do not want to do anything that may jeopardize your ability to get paid and I have to think anyone that reads this thread is not going to hit the offer knowing they could lose thousands and then get banned. I feel it is in the public's interest to be warned about this but if you think that it would hurt the situation I will not publish it.

Do you and other affected feel that it would be a bad idea to publicize this or do you mean that those of you that may seek legal help should have a private discussion?

I think getting the word out is important, but at the same time nobody should publish personal information about people that attacked the promotion.

Revel might be able to stall for months without giving any information if there is no external pressure.

I am interested to see if the casino responded to your request for comment.

From what I gathered from his radio show it was to far away or something and he didn't want to travel but someone pointed out to me he was just near AC playing a rebate or similar promotion for much less....hell far less money but 42k is not worth it when your sure the promotion will go off without a major change?

I have been following this thread for awhile and decided to register and make a few comments. First off the Revel is 100% honoring the matches on freeplays brought in from other casinos. I walked into the card center on July 3rd around noon admittedly a little nervous after all I had read. I had anticipated long lines but walked straight in and right to a card center rep. They looked at my huge fold out mailer from the Borgata which included $200 in freeplay for July 3rd. It took no longer than a minute before the they told me my freeplay had been loaded. It was then I remembered that I also had on the same mailer $100 in freeplay for the very next day(today). I mentioned this and the gentleman took out a marker and wrote VOID in big letters across the offer which he had already loaded and proceeded to hand it back to me and explain that I just had to bring it back in tomorrow and they would load the next $100 on my card.

I played my $200 through(getting back $180) on an 8/5 machine with no issues. Today after I checked out of the Borgata I played my $100 FP through there and then went over to the Revel before driving home. I again walked straight up to the counter even though it was busy....they had plenty of reps working. This time I stood at the Beach/Pearl line since I am a Beach card holder. The lady behind the counter could not have been nicer as she loaded my freeplay on and made some small talk with me. While I was standing there a gentleman next to me had brought a card in from another casino and was looking to get a Revel card. Not only did the lady give him a card but actually ASKED HIM if he had any freeplay from that casino while telling him about the promo they were having. I also had another Borgata mailer that was worth $70 for any day in July for my birthday month. When I inquired about this I was nicely told that i would have to come back another day as it was limited to ONE match per day which I thought made sense. Based on my experience I find it extremely hard to believe that they have refused to honor someones FP offers....not including what has happened to some with card revocations etc.

Definitely write about it. They had so much free press about this, they need to be held accountable in the same media for randomly not honoring this highly publicized promotion.

Well it looks like UKStages has stated that there is nothing to see here, move along. So as usual he is shilling for Revel and they do have something to hide.

I say without getting into providing personal individual info, please post on this subject any facts you hav everywhere you can and push the press to look into it.

Why????....If one reads this thread it would seem that Revel is shutting off lots of players. However, this topic has not generated any traction on few other sites. It seems that this is a non event at those places.

Most of the other sites also never looked at this promo from the standpoint the players on here do. Look at the major AC forum and there are very few of us there who ever discuss finding the best play. They are saps willing to drop thousands each month for a free room or buffet.

This is a Russ Hamilton level accusation. If it's true, it will be truly shocking.

May be Boz, but look at it from news reporter's point of view. If they call Revel, and Revel responds,"We had xxx,xxx guests past few days, we entertained yyy,yyy guests with match play offers. We deactivated z or zz cards, because _____________________". Would it make an interesting copy?

I absolutely would not publish identities, but it is important to link to public discussions about it as a source unless there is a legitimate reason not to do so. I think it is safe to assume that someone making a post in a public forum that is indexed by Google has no expectation of privacy.

I am just hoping to better understand what happened and to this point I just have threads as a reference as nobody wants to disclose what may have caught the attention (which I understand) besides the possible blacklist of APs that has been alleged.

I have enough to at least put together a short story about this. The story I plan on publishing is basically going to be a summary of the public discussions about it.

Revel has yet to respond to my request for comment.

It would be beyond shocking. I doubt there is any validity to that though.

Did not mean to rock the boat.

Also directly from a high ranking casino execs mouth 1. They only pulled the 25 dollar machines 36 hours before promo because they were warned by a AP ( possibly Dancer/Granoff Shakelford) that a crew from Vegas were coming out for this and what their plan was.

I will flat out deny I have ever had any direct contact with the Revel. I've also said or implied in public, both here and the radio, that they are incompetent. That is something I wouldn't do to a paying client.

First timer here looking to set record straight. Russian crew ruined this for many

Why do people have to put so much information out in the public domain? This thread has cost a lot of people a chance to participate in a legitimate freeroll. Now, you have to give a detailed recipe for scamming. Is there any chance of casinos offering similar promos, now?

Maybe the Vegas crew doesn't care if Revel slides into the inlet and sinks, but AC regulars should want this promo to be a success for the casino.

Revel doesn't need to pay a consultant, they need only to read this thread and exchange a little info w/some casinos in Las Vegas, - this is not rocket science. You guys laid out your cards before the river and Revel read them. Revel did not peek at your hole cards. You exposed them. Loose lips may sink ships.

AC Regular here who doesnt care if they sink or swim. Why? Because actions like this have been how they have operated since Day 1 and they deserve all the bad press and lack of revenue they get.

So tell me why I should want them to succeed? Looks like the info out that is out there is helping people who were considering trying this so called promotion avoid it. And it got you to visit this forum.

So if they didnt understand anything found on this forum before it was posted, do you really think they should have a gaming license? Nothing was posted on here that was not available to any casino for a fee from the people that do it for a living. That is their job, to look for flaws in a promotion before offering it, silly rabbit.
