some guy won $10k slot freeplay drawing.
but the casino doesnt give it to him all at once.
it's split in 2500 chuncks.
he gets 2500 now then once every 4 days or so 2500 is added to his rewards card.
i'm assuming the clock doesnt start on the next payout till he's played thru w/the current payout.
ie: if he comes back a month later, another 2500 wont be added till 4 days after that
so Why would a casino split the freeplay into mulitple pay days?

I once won $8,000 in freeplay at an Indian casino, and they did the same thing. Don't know about this situation, but in my case I had to use up each increment of $2,000 within 7 days, or else it was lost forever. Hope the guy finds out the rules since it would royally suck to lose any of that freeplay.

A casino up here gave away $ 1,000,000 ( yes million ) in freeplay yesterday.
There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart

What is the taxation on that? Do they give out a W-2G/1099?

They want him either to come more often, or let a chunk of the free play expire. Not hard to figure out. Probably after he's washed the freeplay, he'll stay there the same amount of time whether it's $2.5k or $10k, so they'd rather quadruple it. I'll bet it wasn't really all that well hidden, either - they advertise the higher numbers, but the lower numbers are always there for the world to see.
