I just visited the MGM and found that in response to the move to 6:5 games and the negative feedback on these games from the players, MGM in Las Vegas is offering 2:1 on the games that are their standard 6:5 single deck games through Sunday. This has to be the best promo ever. The tables are quickly filling up with people betting the table max, so I'm not sure how much longer this is going to last.
Happy days!

That's nice, but does it also mean that after 4/4 they'll get rid of, or at least reduce, the 6:5 tables?
I invented a few casino games. Info:

More likely that after 4/1, Dorothy will need to find some other way to poke fun at you.

FYI. The Current Blackjack Survey puts the 6-5 Blackjack tables at 1.45% HA. If Blackjack paid 3:2, the HA is only .18%. At 2:1 you have a 2.09% advantage. Hooawwww! I should book a flight to Vegas tomorrow to take advantage of this. Wait... I already did...

D'oh.
And to think I was going to play the craps table at the Bellagio where the field bets on the 2 and 12 pays 4:1.
What was I thinking?

Considering that I am going to Vegas tomorrow, I definitely was considering not going to the bachelor party and camping at the MGM...Well played, Dorothy!

I am sure you mean that "suited blackjacks pay 2:1" and the other blackjacks pay 6:5 (or something like that).
Paying all blackjacks at 2:1 even for a few hours a day would cost the casino a fortune.
EDIT: D'oh!

After having spent most of yesterday
playing blackjack, with as much money
riding on each bet as I could afford and letting
it ride whenever I won, I ultimately
lost my entire bankroll.
Fate sometimes has this way
of stepping into our lives where
our situation is seemingly one where we cannot
lose, and making us, sadly, just another in a long
series of those who chase impossible dreams.
