Dan was hired because he answered the trick question
correctly. "Whats an AP?" Dan's reply was 'Cheating
scumbags who need to be horsewhipped back to the
Stoneage'. He was hired on the spot.

Just kidding. Congrats, Dan. Good luck in your new job.

Game distribution is a strange business. The CEO at DEQ is also the Director of Table Game in one major Indian casino in California. Multi tasking and why not?

Mazel Tov Dan!

But you need to learn to toot your own horn!

So much for retirement, eh Dan?

I had a feeling that his "retirement" from dealing at Fiesta Henderson was never intended to mean that he was gonna hang the "gone fishing" sign, but that he was done being a clock-punching drone of big business. He's now management within a fantastic company that is small enough that the CEO knows everyone's name.

I'm sure he has a contract with DEQ. If EZ PGP moves to Galazy, it would be by some mutual agreement (i.e. money). Also, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Dan asked for DEQ's blessing before taking the position at Galaxy.

If I owned the company he works for, I certainly
don't want my employee's ranting about how AP's
are cheats and crooks on a public forum. Would
you?

Why not?

Advantage players DO push the envelope and straddle the line between fair and cheating.

I think casinos would be happy to know the person looking for new games is also concerned with advantage play. It probably means that Dan will be on the alert for new games that might be exploitable, and get them changed before they hit the casino floor.

Bad for you, maybe, but good for the casinos. And therefore good for his employer.

I will be buying stock in galaxy tomorrow. I want to be able to tell Dan I own a piece of him! Micro company, with market cap of only 8 million. Likely results are either bankruptcy or big improvement with lucrative buyout. I'm betting on the latter, with the explosion of casinos around the country.

Congrats, Dan!

Just my opinion but DEQ is a much better stock than Galaxy right now. Also a micro cap but actually starting to get to ops cash flow positive. Galaxy appears to be a long way from getting close to making money and has a bit of a debt load.

I can't believe that DEQ is going to let go of EZ PGP or that Dan would want that. DEQ has taken The game from 0 to close to 100 tables so far! It is a great fit with EZ Bacc in DEQ's portfolio as well. Finally, Steve Jones is still employed by DEQ and is the Jones in Lubin-Jones, LLC, the owner of the EZ PGP IP.

That, or a contractual inability to discuss much about his employment.

There's no reason he can't work for Galaxy and still have his game with DEQ. I'd be willing to bet real money that he got DEQ's blessing before he took the job with Galaxy.

Trust me, he knows. Maybe he can't discuss specifics, but there's nothing stopping him from making generalized comments. I suspect that he's simply way too busy.

Forgive me for bringing this up, but isn't it advantage play that's the cause of you now having to look for a job in LV, and isn't Mr. Living getting himself a job also because he can't make it at advantage play? So where does advantage play being something along the lines of cheating come from?

Just asking.

Dave is correct - EZ Pai Gow is a DEQ product, and EZ Pai Gow did not make a move.
I simply did, for different job responsibilities. I have nothing but good feelings for DEQ, but this new job is a great opportunity, to work with the Inventor of Three Card Poker.

I have been busy, a lot of work to do. ("so many games, so little time!.....")

And yes, Game Protection is the responsibility of the (resposible) Table Games Product Manager, and I take this end of table games design very seriously.

Who are you referring to?

So where does advantage play being something along the lines of cheating come from?

You're new here, so let me bring you up to speed.

Until recently, PaiGowDan was employed as a dealer at Fiesta Henderson. He also invented the EZ Pai Gow variant. He retired from dealing last month. He could have stayed at that job if he wanted to. He was well liked by his employer and coworkers.

On more than one occasion, he got involved in long threads about advantage play and questionable ethics. Dan takes the high moral ground and lets you know exactly how he feels about those who have questionable casino ethics or are proponents of advantage play. In short, he has little regard for those people.

Did anyone else notice that the stock dropped by over 8% right after the press release?

Totally kidding, Dan. Congratulations and welcome to the vendor's side of the industry. I think it's a long-overdue move. I'd wish you luck but you don't need it. Skill, preparation, and knowing the right things (and people) will determine your near-term success.
