LONGTIME Mets fan. PATHETIC call on that 'foul' ball. Too bad first no-no is tainted.

But it makes up for Gallaraga's perfecto spoiled in the 9th Inning with 2 outs by a blown call.
The "foul-ball" was in the 6th inning, and without the benefit of uber-technica freeze frame 1/1000 second replay, this was a bang-bang play, call it now. Take the time to watch in real-time. Make the call without knowing the outcome as it unfolded. with no certainty whatsoevver that a no-hitter was on the line.
You HAVE seen pitches closer to the strike-zone called a ball NUMEROUS times... this year alone.

Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
