By the way, now it's called "The Strat"?
Horrible name and pitiful attempt to sound hip.
The former name described perfectly what the building was about. The new name sounds like a stupid moniker for a WWE wrestler.

Isn't there a club at Rio or Palms that has glass floors so you look down 50 flights or so?
The older I get, the better I recall things that never happened

Yes, it's at the Palms. It's rather small and located in whatever that nightclub is way up there.

The many rides/attractions on top of the building, not to mention the observation deck with the great views, keep "The Strat" in business (I really despise that new name).
The low hotel rates help too.
I actually like their two outdoor pools. And Roxy's is really good as far as diner food goes.
The casino floor itself, like Circus Circus, is in desperate need of a makeover (along with some of the hotel rooms).
