I typically find myself going back to this place, and tend to compare every place to this place.
I only play craps there, unless a promotion gives me something for playing another game. In that case, I will play Bally's video roulette which has a single zero on it.
The craps table pays triple the field, and allows up to 10x odds.
The table minimum has never been more than $5, and there was one time that they had a $3 table minimum.
I can't speak to any other games there, but about 1 in 5 craps player there is a regular, and you will get to know many familiar faces if you continue to come in on a regular basis. It's a good group of players.
The promotions here are generally very generous. On the Thanksgiving holiday I earned $40 worth of meal comps each day for a total of $160 in comps over 4 days. They have always been very generous with the points and comps. I think I gained ten pounds since then redeeming those coupons for steaks, pizzas, and other goodies.

Sounds like a nice, friendly, second home.
The field pays triple? On both 2 and 12? If so, where is this place? There has been discussion here that there is a place like that in New Mexico. FYI: If it's both, then the field is a zero house edge bet. And, as I recall, there is another bet on that table that is also zero house edge.

Santa Ana Star, and I think that table offers free buys on the 4/10 as well.

Nope only triple the field. Aces/double.
The Wizard's craps survey
Has details of who has what, and it was accurate last time I checked on the field bets.

They are now doing the Fuel Frenzy. If you earn 500 points a day on video poker, or 200 on slots, you can pick a card out of a gas can for an instant win. You can do this every day in July. I did it three times. Results: $25 gas card, $5 free play, $10 gas card. So a nice fill up for the drive home. They have $.05 multi-line 8/5 bonus poker in the high limit room if you want to earn points quickly and not lose too much.
On the flipside, my friend and I simply CANNOT WIN here at craps. Every time we step up to the table it is a massacre. Granted, anything can happen in the short term, and it is only three losing sessions, but it is so bad it makes us not want to come back. Dealers often seem sullen.

A recent review of the Silverton indicated that the Video Poker games that were available had deteriorated. I assume that this meant that as machines were routinely to be repaired or maintained the better video poker offerings were removed from the floor and replaced with lower paytable machines until there was an overall effect of lowering the VP quality.
I wonder why a casino would do this?
To get Players rather than Hoggers? To make more money? I can't see it as some sort of accidental development.

We stayed in the suite tonight. It was pretty nice. Two TV's instead of one (one is flat screen, the other is the same TV as the other rooms).
The tub is the best part with jets and shower jell it's awesome! Super duper deep and roomy!
There's stuff for the hunting type with the antler stuff and leather and what-not with deer sculptures and stuff like that.
But overall it was pretty fun.

No longer on my list. The Silverton has been going downhill fast.
The hosts are not responsive to e-mails.
They don't honor free food coupons the way they used to and aren't even up-front about exactly how they can't take more than once coupon per visit no matter how many guests you have (the signs are misleading).
And they are generally making a lot of changes that just make them just like every other Casino in Las Vegas.
The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are not that great compared to the other places on the strip.
I'd say the attraction of the Silverton is fading, if not already distant history.
