Let me guess, a hot is $25 there? Outside the T-Mobile arena for game 2 of the Stanley Cup vendors were selling cans of beer for $15.
Quote: ThatDonGuyThe Pink's Hot Dogs outlet at PH just closed. The company that ran it says it will move some of its "specialty" dogs to its other property, Haute Doggery at the Linq Promenade. The only Pink's remaining in Vegas are inside T-Mobile Arena.
Per Vital Vegas, Pin Up is closing as well and the first strip Chick-Fil-A is coming. I assume that excites someone, somewhere.
I can get behind this.
Quote: FleaStiffAnyone here ever apply for a Chic Filet franchise? They asked the last time I had consumed alcohol.
I suspect a lot of forumites wonder about that, as well.
Quote: Jmarch79Rumor has it that Pink's is being replaced by Chick-Fil-A (the first to exist on the strip.)

What a massive downgrade.
Chick fil A is GOAT. 🐐

It probably does. There is a whole group of people fanatical about their grand openings. The parking lot is filled with RV Campers and tents. Its a big huge party. I think 1st 100 in line can eat there free for a month or something like that
Waffle fries are awful, also. Might as well eat fried cardboard.
Some credit on the biscuits. Still a nasty chicken patty on them. Only time I've had to put honey on meat to make it taste like something.
Quote: rdw4potusWill the Vegas chick fil a be dark on Sundays? Seems like a bad fit, but then it's also bad food.
The Vegas Strip location will be open Sundays.

If it isnt, I think that will be a first. Sunday closed is corporate-wide.
Agree on bad fit.

I am not feeling the love for CFA. It is the best fast food out there IMO.
Yes, the Vegas Strip location and ATL Airport will be the only two locations open Sunday in the company.
As the cows in their ads say, "Eat Mor Chikin"
Quote: djatcNo hot dog place can beat Costco. $1.50 dogs and a drink.
But you have to pay $150 a year for a Costco card! No thanks! I'd rather get a hot dog and a Big Gulp from 7-11 for like $3 together!
Quote: billryanPinks is an LA hotdog joint that is a place to see and be seen. I'm not surprised it didn't work here.
It's true. Everyone in LA is desperate to be seen standing in line to buy a chili dog.

Costco has to let you in their stores even if
you don't have a membership. I never had
a Costco membership, and buy stuff from
there all the time. Just get a gift card. Even
then if you're just using the food court they
will let you buy whatever, with no membership
card. The one thing I couldn't get was their
phones, you needed the membership to get the
pricing that was on the phone.

Hmm... My local Costco has started refusing entry -- even just to the food stand -- if you cannot show a membership card (according to a friend who often bought frozen yogurt there). Giving her a Costco gift card should solve the problem.
But, not sure why any store -- especially a "membership only" store -- "has to let you in." We often comment about casinos refusing entry for any crazy (or no) reason.

Some of the things Costco offers are not allowed to be "members only". They have to let you use the pharmacy, optometrist, et cetera, even without a membership. I would guess that would be everywhere, not just Nevada. Then once you're inside, the food court doesn't check membership cards

I am on the side of Jules Winnfield for all things related to religion and meat eating. "A pig is filthy animal. I don't eat filthy animals."
When Chick-Fil-A first opened here they had to hire Henderson police for weeks to direct the amount of traffic they had, so I had to try it when I was down there. I'm on the side of the Northwestern football players: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYIUuyoSVAs

There is a chick-a in Henderson?
Quote: mcallister3200I don’t get the chik fil a thing. I’ve ate there three times ever, never being the one to choose it. Its just an average fast food place, but with the added negatives of a very limited menu and limited hours.
I’ve never had a fried chicken sandwich that I thought was better than chik-fil-a.
I have to wonder if the quality varies at all between locations.
The one near me gets so busy during lunch that the drive thru line will overflow into the street and create traffic issues.

Businesses need to be very careful about that. A couple of neighborhood gadflys complain and the business become a possible nuisance. In NY, at least, once a business is hit with a nuisance complaint, it seems you are guilty until you prove you aren't.
Quote: mtcardsJust FYI the Pin Up pizza place is still there. Average pizza, long lines on the weekend, very slow. $12 for a slice and a beer
Not sure why people bother coming to Vegas when it's ball park prices for a snack.
Agree. I've assumed that Las Vegas residents get immune to "glitter", but infrequent visitors consider it an adventure and have no desire to visit fast food joints. At home you might turn a toaster on its side so as to be able to handle all those pizza slices, but on a gambling adventure, particularly if the prices are going to be steep, I want a bit of adventure.Quote: MaxPenNot sure why people bother coming to Vegas when it's ball park prices for a snack.
Ballpark quality food at ballpark prices belongs in ballparks, not a gambling town.

Ballpark pizza was way better. Unfortuately, on a Monday at 2 am, choices are way limited
