I have a few questions...
My husband and I visited Las Vegas for a three day weekend, one year ago in Feb. We stayed at NYNY. We mainly gambled there. Our bankroll was approximately 3,000. He plays table, I play slots. MLife desk comped rooms, fees, and 50ish in room charges at checkout. We get mailers and offers from corporate occasionally. We were trying to plan a trip for late Mach of the year, and we had no "spring" offers on the website. I called casino marketing and asked what they could offer me for March. They basically told me nada and I would have to wait until the end of Jan. when offers were updated.
A few hours later a casino host called my husband and introduced herself, sent us an email stating she would like to be our host, and to email or call her to help plan any trip to Vegas...
My question is, what can I expect to get... Do I state specifically what I want? Free rooms, some food? We are going to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. Should I "mention" that in my email? Also, we are going to go the the Monster Jam Finals, should i mention that also, or even ask if she can get us seats?
Is it odd that a host would contact you a year after a trip?
thanks is advance for any info, newbie to hosts:)

I am super jealous of you going to monset jam. We are going to the arena one next month in Pittsburgh and over the summer in jersey for the outside one. We just rewashed the finals from last year over the weekend because our 2 year old us obsessed. Metal melisha was crazy.
Anyways, sorry but I can't actually help with your question.

As a single person I play similarly. I get two free nights and $30 free play in my corporate offers, use that as a "minimum" and work your way up. Maybe a few nights and resort credit. At $25 table play at NyNy I wouldn't expect much from them, your penny slot play is driving these offers unless your husband is hiding $50 play from you IMO.

You should also check out Monte Carlo... They're kind of a dumping ground for Mlife in my experience. If you played there one iota you should get offers based on your play at other properties.

Start with being honest with yourselves. How long do you gamble what denomination machines what games what betting level how many hours for an average day.
Then be rrealistically honest with the host about what gamblers you are and what other things you have planned for the trip. MERE MENTION of both a birthday and an anniversary should at the very least get you a bottle of champagne in your room. So TELL them. It may not be a very big bottle or very expensive champagne but hosts who know their business will NEVER forget those dates.
Tickets for shows events.... ask if the host is able to help. You may have to go to the Concierge but start with the host. Those are often hard comps, but you can still ask.
ANY requests you have, no matter how strange ... ask the host and FIND OUT.
From what you've said I would expect NYNY to give you RFB. Room, Food and Beverages.
When your plans are finalized.. Email the host ... and send an entire revised email anytime anything changes.
Airline, Flight number, Date, SkedArrival, ...the works.
You will Perhaps get met by a limo. Maybe not. But if the host doesn't have the info, you certainly won't get a limo.
