But we're going to Vegas near Christmas (the weekend prior)
We HAVE reservations at MSS for $25 a night for 2 nights (Sun 12/23-Mon 12/24) which I thought was GOOD...
But I logged into TR..and I saw during the same dates, Flamingo will give me a "FAB" room for $8.50 per night!!! WTF?!
For EVERY night from Sun 12/16 thru Mon 12/24 (INCLUDING that weekend!) I got a rate of $10 per night.
I guess they love you more than me...
Oddly, the same period, Harrah's is $30 for the weeknights and $15 for that weekend.
IP is $17 per weeknight for all of December, and $16, $19, and $25 per night for each weekend.
The other properties have more normal rates, with weekend rates higher than weeknight.
We were there in may for a wedding and it wasn't too bad...
Quote: finsruleIt's pretty ridiculous they won't just make it a comp.
They will if you see a casino host before you check out.

And play at a $100 BJ table with 6:5 BJ rules for a total of 16 hours a day...
Sorry Nicky, this is a Caesars property in Vegas. They don't comp anybody anything...

Correct. I do not plan to PLAY there...just curious why the ROOM RATES are so incredibly low?! (I repeat I am NOT a Harrah's player; I simply have a TR card to get discounts on buffets or whatever they may have)

As a gold member staying at Bally's the first three times in Vegas. I had the nerve to go into the diamond club casino host club next to checkin and ask to see someone. I ask him to look at my play, ($5 player 7/8 hours a day) and told him I made the trek from the east coast, stayed there and would certainly come back again to Ballys if I felt I were valued. Each time they were very cordial and cleared my bill which included a meal or two at Al Dente's (4 years ago). I've since get my stays comped so I haven't needed to ask.
My play was just penny slots to get a checkpoint for the Great Race to Rewards and some minimum bet Let it Ride, and I walked out $100 ahead. They just have a big room inventory and would rather fill them cheaply than have them sit empty.

There's a mile of difference between free and almost free.
Quote: s2dbakerI checked rates last night. I did not see what you are seeing. As a matter of fact, for the dates I was booking, the rates were higher for me than if I didn't bother logging in with my Total Rewards number.
They just like me better. :P

Of course they do. You are Far From Vegas.
Quote: AyecarumbaI wonder if construction on the Quad is chasing folks away from the surrounding properties?
That's what I'm thinking...for $8.50 per night, it's probably because they're building all AROUND it...
Then again, withOUT a TR card, it was $65 per night on those dates...so that might be normal...
I booked it..because it couldn't be any different/worse than MSS (which I was going to pay $25 a NIGHT; now I can stay THREE nights for the price of one!)
On the other hand, the Flamingo is the middle of the Strip, so it is pretty convenient to everything there.
Either way... have a great time!
Quote: AyecarumbaAt your historic level of play TIMSPEED, you would probably be comped the $25 per night at MSS. You may want to reconsider, since it is convenient to stay where you play.
Either way... have a great time!
Lol, I spoke to a host at MSS....they said they couldn't do anything for me, so I hung up. I proceeded to go online and get that $25 rate for my Mom AND I. (when a host said she could only give me $65 per night)
The only hard part is having to go out to eat and play at MSS...but for that kinda price....i almost can't pass it up

I had that happen to me once when I tried to book in AC. I called the 1-800-CAESARS number, and got a generic "Online is different than over the phone" to which I replied that without my number I got a better rate. I asked to speak to her manager, who gave me the same response.
Finally, I called the property directly, furious. I got a better rate than either the online or 800-CAESARS rate, but ended up cancelling in the end out of frustration (and getting the entire weekend free plus food in Tunica)
