Someone at the D/GG marketing department is very creative. From LVA.com:
Downtown Casinos Go Head to Head: The D and the Golden Gate downtown are going head to head in the "Fremont Street Series," with $1 beers for an hour after World Series games at the winning property. The matchup between the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants pits the two downtown hotels against each other, with Tigers fans being treated to $1 beers at the D’s LONGBAR , while the Golden Gate’s Casino Bar will fête Giants fans, who can also score a free shrimp cocktial by saying "Go Giants!" at Club 1906 after each win.
Makes sense. I haven't had a chili dog from the new place at the D yet. (Guess which side I fall on.)
