I stayed here a few years back. The rooms were okay, but IMHO NYNY is better for about the same price.
The ratio of people to cake is too big.

The reviewer described Excalibur as an unimpressive place marketed to young couples with kids.
Even though the description of the hotel room makes me think it would suit me just fine, I know that my companion places great value on the room and the view.
And both my companion and myself wish to avoid any place with lots of screaming kids running around.
So I'm sure its a fine place for many, but I'll sure not bother with it. Oh sure, it might be an adventure to eat there but not really worth enduring the negatives.
So I guess the best thing I can say is Thanks For The Review... it was very helpful.

I was there in September 2017. I arrived on Labor Day weekend, so I stayed at a HoJo for a couple of days when the rates dropped to something like 60 bucks a night.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with my room--the bed was comfortable, the bathroom functional, it was quiet enough. Maybe I'm just easy to please, but I wasn't in Vegas to sit in my room. When I was in it, though, I was perfectly comfortable.

They opened it in the mid 80s, can't remember the year. They had a contest to name it. Since it was being opened by the people who owned Circus Circus, my entry was "Castle Castle". Where you had to explain why you would name it that, I said it would be cheaper for them because they would already have the CC monogrammed towels and napkins.

I didn't win.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I think you gave the judges a good laugh.
