Same place, the buyer hopes.
"Shopping, restaurants and shows at the Cosmopolitan, including at its three-story Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub, contributed more than twice as much gross revenue last year as its 110,000 square-foot casino."
Quote: FleaStiffYes, for quite some time its been realized that the Cosmo, after a very confusing start, was more oriented to "the experience" rather than to the "casino's bottom line" with some people actually questioning if they really wanted gamblers rather than the strollers and strutters wandering around the place to shop, to see and be seen, but most of all to shop.
I actually get better offers from them than other properties in LV with small table games play. It seems after a few trips of the same play my offers have went from 2 free nights to 3, so they are making some attempt to get players. And the rooms are the nicest I have stayed in, as I love the balcony experience. Note that most of my experience in rooms is at CZR properties, so I cannot compare them to Wynn or Venetian.
Overall, however, it still remains a place where executives in charge of the various trendy bars are in their twenties. Not just the waitresses and bartenders, but the bosses. Youth, beauty and Botox. Yet four buyers are supposed to be clamoring for it.

I wonder how much more its restaurants would make if it would advertise its pizzeria, especially with Flour & Barley opening up pretty much across the street.

I like the Secret Pizza at Cosmo, but they are a totaly different style than Flour and Barley. Secret is typical NY Style baked in a regular Gas Oven coming in at a decent size slice from a 16in Pizza, at a slightly inflated price. F & B is a small gourmet wood fired pizza that while tasty, is around 12 inch and very thin and will not fill anyone up. A couple needs 2 pizzas there and will drop $40+ before drinks. Also if you like Pizza, try the new Pin Up at Planet Hollywood. Huge slices for around $5, a really good deal.
Yes, I know a little about Pizza!
